I would only do one star, but this store truly does have unique items that pay homage to Prescott itself, the state of Arizona, and local artists and proprietors. However, the owner or manager really left a sour taste in our mouth. We stumbled upon this store a couple years ago on a trip to Prescott. We spent over $300 and had a wonderful experience. We went in over Easter weekend, and it was VERY different. No welcome. No acknowledgement. I had some questions as the SAME shirts were all different prices.(EX: One shirt, a Small was $25, but Medium was $20. The one I wanted, the M was $20, but XL was $28. It just didn't make sense.)
I have never seen that before. No signs. No notices, nothing. I went up to the counter to wait for someone to become available to understand why the price discrepancies, and the older lady (owner/manager) was very cold, uninterested in being asked a question, and could clearly tell she was put out. She didn't like being questioned on the price differences. I call BS on her explanations and don't feel it is right. Luckily, the other staff member helped us check out and she was much more friendly, especially when the older lady wasn't around. Like other reviews, the older lady needs to be a little kinder, not so cold, leave that sour look on her face and attitude at home. She should not be running that store if she doesn't want to work with people or answer reasonable questions that any customer would have. Time to sell to someone else who can keep the charm of this store with MUCH better service. After that experience, we will go to other stores with friendlier staff who deserve...
Read moreCute items. Like the store. Awful customer service. I came in with my baby visiting from Phoenix yesterday. I love Prescott for the sheer fact that the people are so engaging and kind. The bottom of my shoe broke and I needed new ones and was shopping around for a new pair and other items around the square. Walked in here. 3 young girls standing at the register didn't even acknowledge me. Didn't say hello. Or ask if I needed help. I found some shoes on my own and asked them if it was that price. After listening to their personal conversions and feeling like I was interrupting them.. They said.. Yeah.. That's the price. The customer service was so terrible and negligent I really wanted to go elsewhere but was desperate. I left to think about it and when I did I noticed my daughter had grabbed a coin purse and forgot to put it back. Literally accidentally stole it. So I went to return it and figured I'd purchase the shoes. Let them know what happened.. They couldn't care less. Purchased the shoes and proceeded to listen to all 3's personal conversation and laughing the entire time for check out. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Not sure if it was because they are in high school.. So it seems... Or no training but please please hire decent employees. I watched 2-3 other customers not be acknowledged when waking in. You're missing out on business and it's a bad representation of this business. Zero customer service was given. Will not be back.. Ever. Unfortunately feeling valued as a customer outweighs all the cute...
Read moreCute things but the service was so rude, I didn't even want to make my purchase. They profiled me because i have piercings and treated me like a thief, when I make plenty of money to not need to steal. I was looking for a wallet and found one, along with a patch. Was browsing purses as well, when a staff came up to me and asked to take my items and hold them behind the counter while I look. I said I was about to check out anyway but they insisted on me putting my things on the counter and then put my items on the floor behind the counter. I was about to purchase the purse I was looking at but I left it because I was so frustrated that they would treat me like a thief because they didn't like how I looked. I got my wallet and patch but they would have made a sale twice as much if they hadn't assumed I was some thief, even though I was dressed nicely in a stetson, quality leather skirt and boots, and heels, just because I have piercings...
