What a horrific experience. It took them about 15 minutes to give us a menu after we were seated. Another 15 minutes to take our order. And then another 40 minutes before our food arrived. They kept serving other patrons who arrived after us while ignoring us. Our server kept disappearing and never checked on us to see if we needed anything. We waited and waited as we watched servers take plate after plate from the kitchen to everyone else for 40 minutes. I try to think good of people, so I didn't want to believe it in this day and age, but I started to realize that it was all the Caucasian people being served first, and the rest of my party, all of us people of color, witnessed and realized the same disgusting thing, as we had to endlessly wait and be ignored. It wasn't until after my mother-in-law finally had enough and got up and said something to the staff that they finally brought out our plates. Later when I brought this horrible treatment to the manager's attention, he was rude, condescending and flippant. He gave the excuse that the restaurant was very busy and our server was working the bar and serving food, all of which was a lie because there were only two people at the bar, and it was other servers bartending not her; she disappeared. The restaurant wasn't so busy that other people had to wait like we did. It was only us. Everyone else was getting served, we were not. He continued with his rude attitude and said he gave us a discount and that should be sufficient. Not once did he apologize, not once did he say he was sorry, not once did he thank us for coming to his restaurant. To add insult to injury, when my daughter walked to the restroom, he cut in front of her so he could go first and didn't even bother to say excuse me or apologize . I have never witnessed this blatant type of discrimination and behavior, and I was horrified and sickened. I couldn't even enjoy my food when it finally did arrive, so I couldn't even tell you how it tasted. My blood was boiling and I was near tears. To see my family and I be subjected to this type of outright discrimination is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves. My family is visiting , and we drive in from out of town so I can try to show them a good time, and then we experience this? I will never ever come back to this restaurant. I am...

Pros: Their [flat iron] steak sandwich was outstanding! One of, if not THE best restaurant sandwich I've ever had. I'm just going to leave it at that. You can check out on their online menu. My girlfriend loved the quiche of the day and the tomato & artichoke bisque. Service was pretty good. Not outstanding but pretty good.
Cons: A tad pricey, but if all the food is as good as the steak sandwich, it's worth it. It was cold inside especially while they were letting people use the front door to Montezuma St. It was locked when we tried to get in, but unlocked by the manager minutes after we were seated. The door is right next to several tables so you can only imagine the rush of cold air every time someone came in or left. The server suggested we try the Rueben on our next lunch visit. We took her advice and it was good but nothing to write home about, and was small compared to the steak sandwich.
Overall, we liked the place and will return the next time we're in town. And by the way, if you need to use the bathroom, you have to get tokens at the bar. It keeps people from off the street from using it since it's shared with the hotel and shops.
UNFORTUNATE UPDATE: Came back for the 4th of July rodeo 2019 and stopped in again for lunch on the Wednesday the 3rd. Sat at the bar for faster service and the bartender didn't seem to care if we were there or not. Not welcoming at all and more interested in teaching another employee how to mix cocktails than waiting on us. Ordered the same Flat Iron Steak Sandwich I had on my last trip thinking/hoping it would be as good and it wasn't even close. Nothing about it was as robust either in flavor or quantity, and the sweet potato fries were way over fried. Surprised he tried to hand them to me as burnt as they were (never could understand why a server does this when they probably wouldn't eat them themselves). And not once did he take a moment to ask how our food was. All in all it was a "bad" lunch experience and not worth taking the chance again. They earned our repeat business on the first visit and lost it...
Read moreI had to give this place 2 stars but only because the food was delicious. I enjoyed the egg omelet, I think it was called the southwestern omelet. However walking into the the restaurant I noticed how busy they were on a Sunday morning, I though this place must be great. When walking towards the host I greeted a lady “good morning” no response was given back, ok no worries maybe she didn’t hear me, once again they were busy. Told the host “party of 13” big group, host said 35-40 minute wait, no problem, sat us at a table 30 minutes later and the same lady I said good morning to was our waitress , gave her a second chance I said “good morning” again we made eye contact and she looked away and said nothing, I get it, busy a lot of people, Sunday morning but customer service is customer service, that’s why I pay more money to have good customer service. Any problems the waitress has are not my problem. I asked for a cup of coffee and asked if they have flavored creamer, she was very rude and said no, brought my coffee and took our orders and she was still rude, my family noticed her attitude but chose to ignore it because of our big group and it being busy. She never checked in on us to see how we are doing....my brother asked for apple juice and a extra cup of ice(never brought that cup of ice) cups of water were only filled up once, I only received one refill of coffee and she didn’t bring any creamer, if I need to pay for another cup tell me I have no problem, I honestly don’t know what we did to her, after paying I wanted to ask her why were we treated this way but she never came out again. I even waited a few minutes after but she nowhere to be found. It got to the point that no one at our table even wanted to ask for anything because of how rude she was. What was strange is that the table next to our, which was a big group as well, were checked several times. Every time she walked by us she looked the other way INTENTIONALLY AVOIDING US. I brought my wife and in-laws to Prescott to have a nice relaxing weekend. Instead we treated horribly by Ariel. Only she knows why she treated us so badly, but I can guarantee we did...
