Mad Honey BBQ Food Truck — Restaurant in Prescott

We discovered Mad Honey BBQ truck a few weeks ago. I had their ribs and brisket. It was some of the best BBQ I have ever had. My disappointment is that I have returned three times since. Their sign says open 7days. The 1st time there were no ribs. It was Sunday and the woman told me that they only have ribs on special order. I got the brisket and it was excellent. The 2nd time on a Sunday we drove across town only to find they were closed mid-day. The most recent time was a Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. I wanted to get a brisket plate. I waited in line for about 10 minutes while the only person on the truck served customers waiting in the picnic area and then took an order from the person waiting ahead of me. As the person in front of me finished paying I approached to place my order. At this point the woman in the truck, without saying a word placed sign on the counter saying “NO BRISKET”. Run, don’t walk to this awesome place. Owner Scott Honey is serving the best TX BBQ I’ve had outside of TX. Not only is it perfectly crafted with a good smoke ring and generous servings, the sauce is great, and he’s sourcing grass-fed grain-finished beef! Amazing grub. The brisket sandwich changed my entire perspective of what a sandwich could be. And what of the brisket? Throw hands if need be. The bun is a ringer. You never see it coming.
