At NAMI, a Japanese dining charmer, every first date feels like a prelude to a proposal. I’ve sat at these very tables, sharing glances over glistening sashimi, which evidently cast a spell strong enough to marry my date! Now, returning as a veteran of romance, I find the magic in the air is as potent as their mango martinis. The ambiance is a symphony of chic and comfort, with sleek bar lines that lead your eyes on a merry dance to the cozy, patterned booths.

The service? Katie was amazing! Imagine your best friend decided to become a ninja-waiter, swift and invisible until needed, then appearing with a friendly "Gotcha!" just when your glass looks lonely. And the DASSAI 45 NIGORI, a beverage so smooth, it could be used as a diplomatic tool for world peace.

As for the culinary escapades, the BEEF NEGIMAKI is like a savory scroll of secrets, enoki mushrooms whispering sweet nothings to the sirloin, all wrapped in a sweet soy glaze that could double as a love potion. The TAMAGO Nigiri, a simple ode to the egg, makes you ponder life’s complexities, or lack thereof.

The SUMMER SUNSET roll is a beach holiday in your mouth, the tempura lobster playing the surf against the creamy wasabi dressing sunsets. The BUTTERFLY roll flutters with flavors that would make the actual butterflies jealous, while the SHOOTING STAR is a cosmic celebration of eel and mango, with a crunch that echoes through space and time.

And the DEVIL roll? It’s the bad boy of the menu, the one you know you shouldn’t love, but just can’t help but be seduced by its spicy tuna and eel decadence.

In this gastronomic temple where I've toasted to new beginnings, NAMI remains a testament to the art of sushi and storytelling, where every bite is a plot twist and every meal, a...

I and 2 other people were visiting the charming city of Providence, RI. We decided on this restaurant after considering several other choices. We are all very glad we came. The decor and service were exemplary. While parking was a bit of a challenge (the establishment is located on a seemingly popular street full of trendy-looking, busy restaurants) on that Saturday night, once we entered we were greeted immediately by smiling, professional staff. The menu had an fairly comprehensive choice of sushi/sashimi as well as cooked fares like ramen/udon. I had the sashimi deluxe, while my companions had noodles. In all honesty, my dish wasn't the very best I've eaten (I'm from NY) but it was very good. One of my companions thought her broth to be a bit salty for her taste (but she did like the noodles itself and the toppings). I didn't try it so I'm unable to comment. Staff came over regularly to check on us, filling our glasses of water and asking if we needed anything (and NOT only the server who took our order!). I saw many younger-looking patrons who apparently chose this place to begin/enjoy the weekend summer night (dressed quite sharply, both the ladies and gents). At some point I heard boisterous cheer and laughter, with people singing "happy birthday"! As we left, several staff members took notice and thanked us for our visit, wishing us a good night. This establishment certainly merits a repeat visit and is absolutely...

This place can get a 5* in my opinion. The waiter was excellent in explaining the sushi menu as I am a novice at elegant sushi restaurants. This restaurant is either lucky to have such a good knowledgeable staff or they hire accordingly. The food was fresh and excellent. It's a small off the main Ave with no parking restaurant but most in the area are like that. For the price of the food around $85 for two people with two alaochol beverages (1 each) some would expect a perfectly clean floor and the $1 dollar-store plastic wall hooks they had seemed a little cut corner but overall it was a nice place and experience. I'm not complaining but in order to get 5* you need to be 5. This is a cozy little elegant corner restaurant. I loved the leather couches they had for booth seating and the presentation of the food was wonderful (I took a picture for Facebook). For me personally not being a fancy restaurant connoisseur it was 5 but I don't want to mislead anyone who is looking the taj mahal, my conservative opinion is 3-4. I rated 4 for the waiter and my experience here. Food in my unprofessional opinion couldn't have...
