I went yesterday with a group of people.. it was an okay experience. First off, we were hunger since we went to have room for food. It was a while until we received the main course. I was not happy with that. I feel like people should be fed first! You walk in and there's veggies.. no every one like veggies. It should be crackers or bread or something else. They gave us a tiny plate of salad, which is nothing special. Then, we got a small portion of rice, squash and BBQ chicken. The chicken was pretty good and so was the rice. I feel bad for the people that don't like veggies and only ate the rice and chicken. The dessert was just alright tasting. We got the boston creme cake. I got the tiniest little piece. I was still pretty hungry throughout the whole thing. And I'm a small woman that doesn't need much food. The people that got a lot of food were those who ordered the vegetarian meal. I saw one person with a heaping plate of pasta. Those ratios are so off, haha. I think they put too much into trying to put on a show. For the price, I expected more in that department. Afterall, it is also a dinner. The storyline could've been presented a bit better. A few of us found it hard to follow. Even those that came in another group were saying they were lost. They could also have better questions to help you interrogate people. It can be very awkward. Some of us introverts need a bit more help coming up with these things on the spot. I also feel like it doesn't need to be as long as it was. At a certain point, I was ready to go and couldn't wait for it to end. It could've been because I was still hungry and with a headache that started from that hunger. Overall, it was nice to do something new. Would I do it again? Nope. Not unless all of that is improved. There were some good actors and kind people! I do appreciate the effort put in. There is potential in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experienceā¦āweā The audience had very little participation in the event instead, we were forced to watch two bumbling horrible āactorsā stumble through something for an hour and a half, the āvictimā Stumble into the room yelling āouch it hurts. Iāve been stabbedā, fell on the floor and looked like a dead bug, Turn up a few minutes later and for the rest of the evening stood over on the side with a sash that said āIām still dead disregard meā?! The atmosphere was a bland meeting room with no atmosphere, the food was horrible (I chose the chicken option and received a plate covered half in rice with a 3 inch round orange looking patty I think was chicken, and a tablespoon of vegetables!), In addition to paying $50+ for the event, a glass of wine was $15 and parking was ~ $25. Needless to say,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFantastic night out and really enjoyable show! The food was great and the plot was complicated enough (but with the right number of clues) that you could be pretty confident in your guess but were not 100% sure if you were correct until the reveal.
Make sure you come up with a good code name! If we go to one of these again, we will go with something that is a more punny innuendo - those are highly encouraged.
The pacing between the meal courses and the show was just right, with enough time to walk around and question people, and the more interactive we as the audience were, the better...
