Serendipity Gourmet — Restaurant in Providence

This time, it was an EPIC FAIL! Everything was either overcooked or severely overcooked, and that was before 10PM. I asked the guy what time they were open until, and he said 2AM. Nothing close to appetizing looking. Lettuce in salads was shriveled, rib meat was hard, fried won tons looked sunken in, fish was dried out along with the lemon garnish,. Chicken wings were hard, mushrooms had shrunk quite a bit from having just sat there, juices were pulling up in the middle of the food from being on the heat but not stirred. Some dishes were NOT in a well, but placed over other pans of food which means it would not be up to temperature(safety hazard), rice and other noodles were dry, as well as the sauce they came with. This place is only good during the day., When the food is fresh. At night, taking care of the food is an afterthought. This food was abandoned and in some cases...

Rarely does a bodega from New York City get lost and find it's home 3 hours away. Serendipity Gourmet is such an example. This is because a proper Manhattan bodega has a wide selection of foods for people of various diets and with multiple allergies a serious use of all of it's space for food, dining, and retail it looks packed with inventory, but still well organized has Boar's Head premium deli meats at it's sandwich counter.

So Serendipity has all these things. But, if that's all you think there is, they also have BUFFET.

Ordered a plain steak sub (no cheeese). When I received the sandwich it had cheese on it. I politely went to the counter and handed the sandwich and said “sorry sir, I asked for plain steak (no cheese) on this sandwich” he replied with the following....

“plain steak comes with cheese with no peepers or onions” and he pushed the wrapped sandwich that I paid for towards me.

I was in shock and could not believe how rude and unprofessionale he was. Whoever the guy behind the counter was should be fired....he was working at 12:30ish on 11/8/18.
