Come to the Shell Shop Provincetown, MA … one of the oldest shops in town!!!! #provincetown #ptown #capecod #theshellshop #commercialstreet

Never support a store that contributes to the abuse of animals. Hermit crabs should not be displayed as a souvenir that lives in a tiny cage and gets improper nutrition. These animals can live up to 30 years with proper care, which is not whats provided here. They crush them out of their natural shells, which some crabs are killed in the process and then put in toxic pained shells. Hermit crabs need 50+ gallon tanks with 5+ inches of sand to burrow properly. They need so much care to live healthy long lives. Animal abuse isnt a good look for a quick buck. -adding to my review as owner replied: people buying more crabs from you means literally nothing. Owning a crab for 20+ years means nothing, just because an animal is alive doesn’t mean its being cared for properly. (I also highly doubt your statement). You saying you only sell to guests who will care for them as you do means NOTHING when you do the absolute bare minimum, and thats a stretch. Sell fake crabs in these containers, you’ll probably make more money and won’t be killing and continuing the torture of these crabs.

This store is very cute!! Anyone can easily spend some time looking at all of the beach themed items they have. I wanted to buy all of beautiful shells but I have so many from when I had collected them on the beach. We ended up buying some candies to enjoy for our day trip there.

A wonderful and classic tourist attraction that I’ve been visiting for years but despite those years I never realized how lovely the owners were. I visited last week and checked out a few bracelets but when I arrived home from my vacation I realized I left one there. I really liked the bracelet so I decided to look up the shop online and see if it was listed on the website so I could repurchase it. But it wasn’t. So I called the number listed and was greeted by an awesome cashier who informed me that the owner had come to same conclusion I had. She promptly took down my name and address so that she could mail it back to me— free of charge! It was wonderful to be handled with that level of customer service. The bracelet came in the mail fast and they included an extra. Just a really nice store run by really nice people. Swing on by if you’re in the...

I placed an order from The Shell Shop on April 4th and still haven’t received my 1 pound order of Dentalium Shells today is April 22nd so after waiting so long I started reading reviews and it looks like The Shell Shop Owner Is Selling smaller than normal Dentalium Shells to customers who are very upset because we intended to buy Big Dentalium Shells like the Post Shows and if we are not getting what we paid for I’d expect a refund but after making my purchase I realized this store has done me wrong before and Didn’t want to acknowledge my last complaint and did not give me my refund back I’m feeling pretty upset after reading all the...
