I used to work here about two years ago. Back then the food was alright, but what I really didn't like was how petty and rude my coworkers were to me and to customers. After I stopped working there I came back pretty often for lunch to see the few friends I made and because I sincerely enjoyed the food.
Over the years Kneaders has become progressively lacking in quality and the employees have been worse than ever. Every time I order a panini, the meat is raw on the inside. Their drinks have a strange aftertaste and I'm convinced that it has something to do with the cups they use. One top of that the portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller while the prices remain ridiculously expensive.
Today was the last time I pay for their food. Last weekend my family had lunch and we ordered their Parmesan chips only to receive barely a few ounces worth equivalent to a child's handful. I mention this to the cashier today as I was getting lunch and she was very gracious, mentioning that they have been getting these complaints. Later, as I was presented my food, another employee from the back starts chastising me for asking for more chips, insisting that they have always portioned their amount of chips and that I would have to pay even more next time if I made that request again.
After that, I check my bag. Barely a third of it had chips, which was only a tiny bit more than last weekend's. These chips are expensive, and once again they cheaped out. I'm so done with this place. Its really a shame too because I actually like their food when its done right. But I've been ripped off by this store over and over, and the employees have been terrible.
My advice? Go to Magleby's. They have a similar menu and you actually get what...
Read moreGo somewhere else. They don’t understand that when someone orders food online and it gives a specific pickup time that this is when customers expect the food to be ready. This should be common sense.
Today, I went to pickup my order at the time specified during the ordering process and they hadn’t even started making it! They told me that I would have to wait 40 more minutes and I had already waited 20 minutes by this time! If I had known when I began ordering my food that it wouldn’t be ready for an hour then I would have made different plans. They need to do a better job managing their customers’ expectations. They should update the wait times in the app and online before people order. They are setting themselves up for failure.
When I asked the cashier for a refund because I couldn’t wait 40 more minutes, the cashier said that she would put the receipt in her pocket and take care of it later! What kind of refund process is that? I wasn’t okay with that and told her that I wanted a refund now. That’s how refunds work! Then she was annoyed and had to go to some kind of back office near the restroom in order to process the refund. What is this, 1990? I don’t blame her. I blame their process.
Kneaders needs to update their system. I understand that they were busy, but they didn’t value my time and that’s unacceptable. They didn’t apologize for inconveniencing me. They just made some excuses and asked me to move so they could “help” the next person in line. I’ll never go back to this location. And I’m not sure I’d try a different Kneaders location either. It was a complete...
Read moreDang! This place is stingy with their portions. They literally made my Turkey croissant on two ends of a stale 2 day old croissant. I can’t figure it out because right across from the checkout is a huge tower of what seems to be brand new fresh croissants, so I’m not sure why they chose to give me an old one or how they got a tiny croissant instead of those big, fluffy ones for the sandwich but their decision to cut corners just cost them a seriously good customer. There was literally 2 tablespoons of turkey meat on the whole sandwich. It was just basically a plain croissant. Even though I was in huge hurry to get somewhere as I am hauling my horse in a horse trailer. Not to mention I had waited 20 minutes for the sandwich, but despite that I just couldn’t bare to not get my money back. So I went back and returned their “sandwich,” got a refund, and now I have to figure out where else I can get food. It’s quite a bummer. I used to always take business people here for lunch and I bring my huge family, but after this I’m just done. My experience with this chain has just gone down hill over the last year. I know businesses are struggling in general, but this was ridiculous. When I spoke with the girl working there, she just shook her set head, as if she totally understood, and was dealing with her hands, being tied with the management instructions. It’s too bad. (Ignore my grammar…this was...
