I tried on the Brass & Roe Ribbed Pant Set in the Provo Riverwoods store this past weekend, which has the shirts in all sizes grouped together, hanging beside the pants in all sizes in the rack. I found that, for my body type, the L shirt worked best with an XXL pant. I loved it! Super high quality, very soft and cozy.
Unfortunately when I went to check out, the employee told me that they can only sell sets with matching sizes for the shirt and pant āfor inventory purposes.ā This was extremely frustrating to me, and I left feeling really upset and discouraged about the lack of size inclusivity and overall inflexibility. I even went back into the store and asked if there was anything they could do, or if a supervisor could help, but they didnāt budge. Any other store would sell pieces of a set as separates, so you can mix and match what works best for you and your body type (think Target swimsuits). If they have to be sold as same-size shirt and pants, they should be racked in the store on the same hangers, together. Any other type of display is misleading, and I canāt imagine that Iām the only person with any amount of curves that this has happened to.
After contacting customer service via email, they told me they could not make an exception for me and reiterated the bit about mismatching inventory, which in my opinion is such an arbitrary merchandising choice. Iāve loved Called to Surf for years, and I genuinely loved this set, but the entire experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I wonāt be back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI should have realized that there was a quality problem when they refuse to do returns and only allow exchange or in store credit. I used to buy dresses here and had no problem. But WOW their quality has gone downhill, and their prices have gone up. Stingy and so dishonest. I purchased a dress for $50 that had 3 large holes the first time I wore it, and I am not hard on clothes. When I tried returning, they refused and since I had lost the tags and receipts they refused to even give me in store credit. I had to email customer service who finally helped me. I returned and used the in store credit plus $27 for a $77 dress. That is pricey!! I better expect to have this dress for years to come. It is darling ..... but, seams were flimsy and tore on the first wear. I have never had clothing rip like this on the first wear until coming to called to surf. I brought it back for ANOTHER exchange. Got the same dress hoping for the best. Took extra care to be gentle. I didn't even hold my baby during church to be sure there was no tugging on the seams.... Sure enough, another tear. This is ridiculous! Horrible quality and way over priced. Go next door to Soel. Everything I have bought there has lasted for several years in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a dress November 4th. When I opened my package I realized I received another costumers order. I emailed the company to inform them. They didn't respond so I emailed again a couple days later. They said they would get back to me after they figured out a solution (The dress was still in their inventory - you would think they would mail me another one). I didn't hear back so I emailed them again 3 days later. They wanted me to mail the items to the other customer and then submit my receipt to get reimbursed for the shipping. I shop online for a reason. They should have emailed me a shipping label. I delivered these items and never received a thank you from this company. Still never received my dress. I emailed them again before Thanksgiving. They said they needed to check into it AGAIN!! Never heard back so I emailed again and asked for a refund. So ridiculous!!! I talked to my friend who has an online clothing store for children. She was shocked that they would ask me to mail something to another costumer and that they didn't offer me a gift card for all the trouble so I could get the dress. Nope nothing - except a 20% off discount code. I usually don't write reviews. I hate complaining. But this was beyond...
