Not a good experience. Our first clue should have been when the hostess acted as if my party of 5 was a bother. The place wasn't overly busy, yet the hostess told us he had just assigned our waitress two other tables prior to us and we would have to wait a bit before she was free. I was okay with the wait, it really wasn't that long. I ordered grilled chicken tenders and the waitress asked me what sauce I would like. I questioned her, sauce?, grilled chicken tenders are marinated. Have they changed then? I even pointed to them on the menu. She replied, I didn't know, I've only worked here a couple of months. So, what sauce. I was served fried chicken tenders!!! The waitress was not happy with me after informing her my order was incorrect. I was provided overcooked, burnt chicken tenders after my party of 5 had completed their meals and my sides were cold. My chicken and dumplings only had 3 dumplings and no chicken!!! I asked for suryup for a child's pancake meal and was told we already had enough suryup... and pointed at the 2 tiny bottles provided with the two adult pancake meals. How rude!!! We weren't provided silverware, I had to go searching and found some at the hostess desk. I tried to politely point out these issues to a manager, who didn't want to listen and tried to walk away before I could explain everything. He cut me off and said he would take my grilled chicken meal off of the ticket. I was provided the ticket to see my meal was taken off, but a cheeseburger and fry meal added in it's place. I pointed this out and got adutude. Like they couldn't believe I could read a ticket with abbreviation. They did as promised and removed my meal and the extra meal. Will not go back. It has been several years since being in a Cracker barrel, what a huge...
Read moreJust to let you know I have been to cracker barrel restaurant indoors and all the service was fine and the food fresh and good. But I did not have the same experience with ordering curbside: At 4:00 pm 6/28 I used online ordering to order takeout for 5:15 pm. The website said error then took my credit card anyway and told me my food would be ready at 4:22 p.m. so I called them and said please do not make the food I do not want it sitting under a heat lamp for an hour or more. I was on hold for almost 9 minutes to get this plea to a gal named Kaylee "accomplished." I specifically told her I did not want that food sitting under a heat lamp for over an hour and she said it wouldn't be. Lo and behold I get there 10 minutes early and the food comes right out in a bag which I stupidly did not check. I think the fact that it was ready 10 minutes early tells me it was sitting under the lamp but also when I got it home the food was severely dry or mush (heat lamped). I couldn't even eat the steak fries with ketchup on them. My friend agreed the food was awful. Also they did not provide the bread for any of the meals meaning although they say they gave us two rolls and two cornmeal muffins on the receipt shown here, they were nowhere in the bag when I got home. I will never order from them again because that was $30 down the drain. Also noticed on the attached receipt they "corrected" my ordering time to 4:50 pm. Huh? That's 25 minutes before I wanted it. I did try to call them after we threw half the meals away, and tell them about the missing bread and other issues, but they put me on eternal hold, and I gave up after 10 minutes - not worth it and they know that. They got my money - what do they care? Stay away, and don't tip like I did on your credit card. Why tip ahead of time for such...
Read moreAlways a great choice, food and service are top notch. We asked an elderly woman sitting next to us if we could borrow her ketchup for my daughter's eggs, 😆 🤣 😂, and she had a hard time understanding what we were asking. Once she figured out we wanted the ketchup, she smiled and stated she was done with it and that she liked ketchup on her eggs as well, and her and my daughter shared a smile. As our meal came to a close, another table noticed the elderly women eating alone as well, and saw us discussing how kind and polite she was. I then asked my daughter to see when the waiter brought her the bill if we could have it. She said something silly and was like I'm not doing that. However, my 17 year old son, without skipping a beat, jumps at the opportunity to best his sister, and was all over it. The waiter brought her the bill, and he kindly asked her if she would allow him to buy her breakfast. She was so extatic and started telling some other groups what a fine young man my son was. The kid that eats me out of house and home and lives by the motto whoever eats the fastest gets the most. Was a fine young man! My family finished our meal, and on the way out, the women who noticed us discussing our good deed plan handed me a crisp high five as she watched it all go down. This trip happened earlier this summer but has humbled my children, and they still bring it up as one of our better family breakfast! My son eats a big breakfast, and they deliver with tons of extras and the best sides, and lots of delicious food he has the county boy and man is it a lot of food. But to hear he is a fine young man makes a breakfast outting our family...
