Poor quality tasteless food - at high prices. Poor value for the price! I ordered to go. Looking at the menu I ordered Egg Fu Yumg. They didn’t have it, So I Ordered Chicken Chow Mein that was tasteless and consisted of onions and 2 pieces of broccoli some chicken and a small bag of crispy noodles price $12.95 Shrimp Lo Mein again, noodles, onions, 6 shrimp. Tasteless price $13.05 Chicken Fried Rice consisting of rice, some chicken and frozen peas and carrots, again tasteless, price $12.95 2 Egg Rolls very small, short and thin price $1.95 each. After tasteing I drove back there from home, with 2 items because I ate a little of the fried rice and told them I didn’t order onion chow Mein. Same with Lo Mein I asked why there were no other vegetables or use stock for the sauce. I was told”that’s our style”. They wanted to make it over but why would I want the same again? They said pick something else from the menu. I said okay curried chicken. “we don’t have any”. I asked why are the 2 items on the menu? No reply. I asked what do you have? They said they would make me some sweet and sour chicken and more fried rice at no cost. I returned the food I brought back . Took the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice home. No bell peppers or onions just chicken and sauce. Rice was the same. It went in the trash. Total bill $47,20 for at best $9. worth of food. I will never return to the not even...
Read moreTucked into a nondescript retail space that has housed a succession of eateries, Wonderful Bistro offers Chinese cuisine. On my first visit I was happily surprised to see a freshly refurbished interior that avoided the clutter of previous tenants of the space. The glass-topped tables are already decorated for Valentine's Day with pink paper hearts peering up through the glass.
The menu is a bit on the large side but offers a satisfying range of entrees, each prepared on order and served in traditional family style platters and plates. Typical entrees range from $12 to $15, and you can get a whole roasted duck for $30. My Szechuan Beef was beautifully perfumed with garlic, the Hot and Sour Soup was well balanced and even managed to make the tofu tasty.
Wonderful Bistro's service is low key but timely. Servers are happy to expertly describe each fish and help diners make the right menu choice.
If there is a downside it's the lack of a liquor license, but the restaurant has an application pending. The addition of a balanced wine list would complete the dining...
Read moreIt breaks my heart to write this. We have frequented this restaurant for about 10 years now. It has been consistently and dependably wonderful. But tonight we were shocked when we drive 20+ minutes into town and back to end up with food that was NOT EVEN fast food quality. Nothing was the same. We spent over $80 for our family of five and it was covered in grease, the meat was tough and very low quality with NO FLAVOR. I called to ask what was up, I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt but the lady answering the phone said that she didn’t think there was “anything different” and that their “ food was the same”. No sweet lady. It is not. Eating out is a luxury for our family and all this food ended up in the trash. We ate boxed Mac n cheese and apple slices with peanut butter for dinner. Will definitely make me think twice before we decide to eat out 😔. We depended on this place. It was a go-to. And we will never eat there again. Not only was it decidedly different, and low quality but when we called them they had no interest in trying to...
