My wife and I purchased a king sized mattress, box springs and bed rails on 8/27 for delivery on 8/29. The drivers were very prompt but immediately after arrival they inform me of a mixup in the box springs. Being a King size it requires 2 twin xl box springs. They were mismatched. They tell me that my correct box spring is deeper in the truck and that they will bring it out later today. 2 hours later they call and tell me that my matching box spring didn't make the truck and that they would have to deliver it Saturday. In addition they would let me use the mismatch until then. The drivers return to my house and set everything up. When they put the mattress on the box springs it looked miss sized. I was told it was probably due to the mismatched spring. 2 hours later received another call telling me that the reason it appeared to the wrong size was because they delivered a California King and in the loading the warehouse had miss tagged my mattress with a later delivery. Now the drivers are back at my house for the third time today. I called the AFW customer service and got the run around of I am sorry and yes it was a big mistake but all we can do is refund your delivery fee. I think that after having my entire day wasted that they should not only refund my delivery fee, but guarantee my delivery time window for Saturday. This is apparently highly unreasonable for me to even ask this. These clowns actually think that I should take whatever time is most convenient for them and waste another entire day after the terrible service I received today. The only reason you are getting one star is because we can't rate your customer service any lower. UPDATE: I finally was able to speak to a customer service manager and was told nothing but, we can't, we can't we can't. No they can't set me an exchange delivery time at my convenience, no they can't have the matching box spring delivered tomorrow because all of our trucks are full, and no we can't do anything more for you as a customer irregardless of how much business you have done with us. JUST REMEMBER THAT ONCE THIS IS RESOLVED WE WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM AFW AGAIN....
Read moreWe went to purchase furniture for my daughter's 1st apartment. They didn't have the whole set at the store that we wanted so they said they could bring the missing piece in. This would be delivered to Florence. We paid for the set, and was scheduling delivery and found out that we would have to pay another delivery charge for the last piece. I stated that It's not our fault they didn't have the last piece in stock, and that it was sitting on the floor display in front of us, just mark it sold and deliver the one that is sitting right here. The salesperson said that they were not allowed, for whatever reason. That we could come back and pick it up if we didn't want to pay the delivery charge. We didn't have a vehicle big enough to accommodate that. I looked at my wife and said ok whatever we'll pay the extra. The salesperson while finishing the paperwork then asked "This is being delivered to Florence Colorado"? We said yes, and she excused herself for a minute and came back to tell us that the price we were quoted was wrong, that we weren't charged the right Tax rate, that the price would be going up since we lived in Fremont County. I asked why. I was told since we live in Fremont County that we would need to pay their tax rate. I expressed that I did not purchase this in Fremont County, I purchased this in Pueblo. I asked if we would be charged this if we delivered ourselves, with a response that blew my mind. " Now that we know you will be taking this to Florence we will still have to charge you the different Tax rate. I expressed that I've never been asked what county I live in to make a purchase. McDonald's doesn't ask to see my I.D. so they can take more money from me if they charge more sales tax in my county. I also inquired, if another County/Town/State has a lower tax rate do they give a cheaper rate? I was told "well no". A bit more of going back and forth, I asked to be refunded, went to a different Furniture Store with delivery to Florence, asked if they had the same business practices, and they laughed said no. Point is you better look at the paperwork...

DO NOT SHOP with AFW Period! I have spent about 5k with them in less than a years time only to find out they would leave us hanging at every turn!! To begin with they left us stuck in a bed we weren't happy with, and to boot it was the most expensive bed on their floor this past year but we still got 0 service!! (Even the old adage that you "get what you pay for" doesn't apply here!!) But it gets worse, they then kept us waiting over 4 months for a couch that ended up having 3 different levels of firmness (all durastically different) with only 5 cushions on 1 couch (Jackson Furniture)?!?! They then said they'd get us new cushion cores asap, yet again wasted my time and theirs by bringing a new half couch with the exact same core stiffness issues as before. Instead of just bringing the cushion cores their very own team requested they bring initially! We then were told we would be contacted with our new cores in 2-4 weeks. only to have to call them my self almost 5 months later just to find out they have had my cushion cores sitting in their warehouse for almost 6 months and have attempted exactly 0 times to communicate this with us and schedule delivery of our cores to rectify the situation!! I have had 6 team members from 2 different states (Colorado & Arizona) in my home and all have agreed this is an aggregious issue that should have never left the manufacturer to begin with yet here I sit on the same messed up Furniture I payed very good money for almost a year ago with still 0 resolution in the matter!! I hope this reaches the right soul and helps them avoid the same heartache my family has had to endure while wasting thousands of dollars with a company we thought we could trust!!
