Village Inn — Restaurant in Pueblo

We went to the village inn in pueblo at 4719 N Elizabeth St, Pueblo, CO 81008 Jan 1st 2023. We got seated and everything seemed OK but no hello or hey did u want something to drink nothing. So I wanted to be polite and not be rude to the lady serving other customers. Well 30mins went by so I decided to politly asked the server working their if we could at least get some water and she said hold on a minute and walked away. As I look over to the entry way I can see the two from the host at the door having a paper war playing around. Normally that doesn't bother me but when the server said she was the only one working on the shift those host seating guest and having a paper war should be helping. So I knew the server was way behind so felt that I should at least give it one more half hour and surely we would be helped. We'll I thought wrong we finally got up and left the restaurant with 5 other families after all of us waited for some help for 1hr and 15 mins. Not so great service their and as we left a lady was upset with the older lady in glasses that was cashing her out. I could also hear the conversation as we left about fi ding hair in her hashbrowns. Kinda glad we left and went to Habaneross up the road were we got great customer service. Just a sad place I guess that's why shut down the restaurant by Southside walmart. Just a sad place and run down over worked employees. Don't go their in less your planning on reading a book and bring some snacks too for the long time of NO SERVICE AND PAPER WAR IN...

The wait staff was inconsiderate as we waited 45 minutes after we ordered and still did not receive our food . Gave it another chance a few weeks later and sat there for 25 minutes and I finally let a waitress know we're ready to order and she told me she was not our waitress but came name and took our order. We had to take the food to go because we waited another 40 minutes before I flagged down the waitress that we'll have to take the food to go. She brought the to go order but we didn't receive any plastic wear and the waitress told us that there should be some at the register. There are 2 register staff and a waitress cashing in her tips. Finally I said "I don't mean to be rude but we are running late for an appointment. One of the register staff processed my payment and I asked her if there was any plastic wear and she went to the back; only to come back 10 min later to tell me they were out of plastic wear. This is a TRUE STORY....

The food was subpar, but that's not why I'm leaving my review.I'm leaving my review.Because this old woman and her disabled husband was sitting in the table next to us.And their 4 year old grandkid was screaming the entire time. When I told the staff about my concern?How was upsetting me and I couldn't eat due to the screaming.They did not do anything about my concerns.I asked if I could be moved to the other side of the restaurant and they said there was no other tables when clearly there were.I could see you crossed restaurant . I asked another person If there was anything that could be done about the atmosphere so I couldn't enjoy my meal and my concerns were not met and I talked to my waitress about it.I asked her if I could just have to go boxes because I could not eat with the kid screaming the entire time. They did not comp my meal or offer me a discount for...
