Assuming it's incredibly dated atmosphere and decor throughout from arcade to outdoor oasis is NOT intentional, it is what keeps it from earning higher ratings. Comes off as unclean in the arcade, bathrooms, and indoor lounge bar only for this reason as its not at all. Read moreIf you're looking for the ultimate island party spot in Put-In-Bay, Sand Bar is the place to be! We had an amazing time here — the atmosphere is laid-back and tropical, perfect for relaxing with friends or meeting new people.
The pool is huge and super clean, with a swim-up bar that serves delicious frozen drinks and cold beers. The DJs kept the energy up all afternoon with great music, and the crowd was lively but friendly. There’s plenty of space to lounge, play sand volleyball, or just soak up the sun.
The staff were fantastic — quick with drinks and always smiling, even when it got busy. Prices were reasonable considering it’s a prime island spot, and everything was well-organized and clean.
Definitely a must-visit if you're spending time on South Bass Island. Whether you're stopping by during a day trip or making it part of your weekend getaway, Sand Bar brings the beach party...
