I don't want to be too harsh on my review here but I have to be honest, if this was 125$ a night the rating would bump up, but 430$USD a night for what you get is robbery. Pros: -great location, close to the docks, close to the bars and restaurants -Splash is the pool you get access to, even though it appears as a seperate business on Google maps, but it's great. Lots of room, good bartenders, drinks aren't watered down. Excellent party on a Saturday. -the wifi is fast Cons: -rooms are barebones to say the least. 1 bed, 1 table with 2 wood chairs, 1 armoire that is at the foot of the bed making a 1ft gap to squeeze through when going from one side of the room to the other. I debated on moving it but didn't want to get in trouble. The room is giant, but empty. Why arrange it this way. -no fridge -no recliner or anything to fill in the giant empty spaces -the AC is meant to be a window unit but it was cut into the wall and there's rags or something shoved around it to stop bugs from getting in. It kept popping it's built in GFCI breaker and I had to reset it a few times to keep it going. -there's oddly placed lamps in the big open spaces which makes me think years past had more furniture but as it wore out they just tossed it and never replaced it. -the bathroom is also tiny for how large the room is. Shower is very dated and dark like a cave with a single low output bulb for light. -the hall is not AC'd and smells like feet. Someone needs to steam clean the carpet during the off season or something. -this one was odd. They do not bring you new towels daily. Ok alot of places haven't since the world went upside down. But it's on you to bring your dirty towels downstairs to the poor front desk clerk and hand them over (imagine if they weren't just covered in water ??). The clerk doesn't have a laundry basket at hand like housekeeping would. The clerk then goes and gets you new towels and you bring them to your room. You can only get 2, no more than that. Towels are not supplied at the pool either. At this point I'm paying 430$ USD to stay at a hotel and I'm now doing their work for them. -there's no phone in the room. Sure hope your cell can call 911 if needed. No need to call the front desk for anything as they don't provide anything to your room (see the towel policy above). -tv is stuck on one channel and won't change. Minor, but it was funny in a way. The staff were friendly and I appreciate that. I just feel like this place is very run down and they don't care for their customers from a business at large standpoint and are coasting on people booking here regardless due to limited options on the island. For the prices I paid I was very un-impressed. Won't be coming back to this hotel.

I wouldn't rate this place a 3 star if it were located anywhere else. Good location. But everything about it screams (& smells) party hotel. I felt ripped off for what we paid.

We only went to the splash bar. But it was awesome. It is a swim up bar. The prices are very reasonable. And the water keeps you nice and cool even in the sun

BASIC but nice and pleasant staff DESPITE what some of these recent reviews say!!!! I felt compelled to leave a review here bc I truly feel the recent ones are fake. My past activity on my reviews will show I am not :) Husband and I decided to spend a night on the Island after visiting our new friends Brew and Rest close by. I want to be clear on a few things, this spot is basic absolutely no bells and whistles but it is clean and has whats needed. Also they are on the strict side of things such as higher damage refundable deposit upon check in and also strict on the amount of bath towels u can have at one time (we did have 2 small thin bath towels, 1 hand towel and 2 cloths at check in. Asked for some additional told we needed to bring used ones back). Nvr did locate pool towels. I truly feel these particulars have to do with the negatives they often have to put up with in the public. I saw people around this island who seemed to not care about how they act including the care of or lack there of, of other peoples property. We felt the front office staff who were all young were very pleasant during our stay and as far as towels were only following what their job expectations ask of them. (I applaud these young folks seeking employment). The housekeeping staff were also pleasant and accommodating. Also a maintenance man assisted us in the hallway and also pleasant experience. We also saw him at one time in the front office he remembered us and another pleasant interaction. The few staff working the extremely large walk up pool bar played great music worked very hard and had smiles on their faces throughout. Everything in this area very clean including bathrooms. The location of this hotel we feel was nice. A bit off the main street path but maybe a 3 min walk, across the street from the nicer restaurant spots and right next door to the islands only grocery. I will end by saying Im particular with hotels my pref is a Marriott or Hyatt group for which this Island does not have. We took a chance and were pleased with decision....

I had the most HORRIBLE experience WITHOUT staying in the hotel!!!! I read through the various reviews that accuse the staff as being "thieves" and I couldn't agree more! But "incompetent" should also be added! I had to cancel a reservation (a whole 27 days before the actual booked date) and the MANAGER tried to charge me a $30 cancellation fee! I expressed to her that I was reading their cancellation policy WHILE TALKING TO HER ON THE PHONE and told her how that is only applied if you cancel 7 days in advance. I proceed to explain to her their own cancellation policy about how there is a $20 cancellation fee if cancelled within 14 days. But again, I cancelled A WHOLE 27 DAYS PRIOR! She then says "Oh, you're right. Ok.", almost like she didn't expect me to have any knowledge of it. She promised me a full refund and that I would receive it 5-7 business days. I found it "weird" when she said she would back date it. She gave me a confirmation number, so I assumed everything would be cleared away. 10 BUSINESS DAYS LATER, I called back explaining I have yet to receive my refund. A SECOND PERSON then goes to investigate the issue and discovers the paper work was still on the MANAGER'S DESK and had not been processed!!!! So this OTHER employee tells me it will be ANOTHER 5-7 business days. But wait, it gets better! 12 BUSINESS DAYS LATER, I call for a THIRD time demanding my refund! And a THIRD PERSON has to try to figure out what happened since convieniently neither the manager or the employee were there.... The third employee said she would look into it today and call me back before her shift. I threatened to report them if I don't receive my refund after this phone call! Let's just say it's been almost a whole month and I have yet to receive my refund! I RECOMMEND THEM TO...
