Came in for the first time as a solo diner last week and sat at the downstairs bar, and was taken care of by George. I was quite pleased with the drink and food selection. The vibe/atmosphere was lively, and upbeat. Moving on to my order, I started with a Last Word. As I drank that I got the wings which were okay for my taste. After my last word cocktail, I asked George what was underrated, and he told pointed out the Smoking Mirrors which was PHENOMENAL, and the Buzzer Beater which was equally wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, understood a lot of things like the back of his hand. I even got to check out a bottle of aged yellow chartreuse which had me jaw dropped. Then I got to check out the second floor that also had a bar, and got to say hi to Chris, who used to work with my mother and a couple of my siblings. Following that I ordered the Soppressata pizza at the end which was unbelievably delicious. Sadly I didn’t have time to get dessert as the kitchen was closing up at that point. All in all, I had an amazing time there, and will be making future trips when I can. I’ll be sure to try out some of the desserts next time. Awesome atmosphere/vibe, great staff, and lovely food apart from the wings which like I said, were okay. Seriously, thanks, I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Our first time here and the food, drink, and service were fabulous! We decided on the patio area for dinner and kept it light with our selections of the Kale Caesar salad, wood-fired wings (without the Calabrian chili), Contadina pizza, and for dessert Tiramisu. For drinks I selected the Mai Tai Flip and my husband had the smoked old fashioned. To go along with our dessert we also tried the chocolate lemoncello, and the Amaro, both new to us! Our sever, Casey, was outstanding! He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. At the end of our evening once things slowed down, we had quite a lovely, lengthy conversation about places and things to see and do in and around the Philadelphia area. We definitely plan to be back, especially since my husband wants to try the ribeye! We highly recommend Alessandro's!

Came here with my aunt and girlfriend last Sunday for dinner. Parking was easy as was locating the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was the comfy and nice looking wooden decor, then the massive pizza oven. We were seated by the friendly hostess and welcomed by our nice waiter. We ordered a Margarita pizza as an appetizer and a bronzino, salmon, pork osso bucco, and broccoli rabe to share. My favorites were the pizza and brocolli rabe. The salmon was amazing, but the bronzino and pork osso bucco were a little blander than preferred. However, everything was cooked perfectly so it’s just a matter of preference. The manager was extremely friendly and attentive and I would defiantly come back here with friends and family.

My father just had his 79th birthday and we wanted to take him out for a nice dinner with the family to celebrate.

My wife and I have been looking for an occasion to try Allesandro's, and figured this would be a great place to take the family. So, I called the restaurant to make a reservation for 8 people. I spoke with a woman for about 10 minutes who helped me. She reserved a table for me and reminded me they are a small restaurant and that a party our size required a credit card in case we canceled. I gave her my name, phone number, and credit card information.

When I arrived with my party and checked in, I was told they had no reservation under my name. At least 3 women were at the hostess stand. Several tried to locate my reservation in their system and couldn't find it. I was being grilled by each of them...'could it be under a different name...who did you speak to?' They all looked at us like we were a problem. At that point they said, 'we can't help if you don't know who you spoke to'. I showed them the outgoing call on my phone to prove that I had made the reservation. We exited the restaurant with them saying "there is nothing we can do."

I understand that mistakes happen, and while it was disappointing, it's not the end of the world. However, what I didn't care for was the lack of customer service or recognition that an error on Allesandro's end significantly dampened a celebration for my father. No one apologized to us for the mix up, offered to reschedule, or even said please come back and have a drink on us. Basically, we were shown the door and told there was nothing they could do. This is the type of service I would expect at any of the other chain restaurants in the area, not from a small business, and quite frankly it was disappointing to say the least.

I reached out to the restaurant prior to posting this review, and they did not respond. So, just a fair warning to anyone: if you call, make sure you get a name of whom you spoke to and a...

GOT EXTREMELY SICK FROM HERE My husband and I had a dinner to celebrate his big promotion. We loved the service and cute restaurant

food was pretty good but he felt extremely sick right after couple hours. He was throwing up, had extreme stomach pain after eating a squid ink linguine.

We called restaurant to tell manager immediately to let them know & make sure to check ingredients for other customers safety. First thing manager said “it usually takes 24hours to develop the food poisoning” First of all… NOT TURE Iykyk it’s not our first LIFE TIME being sick from food you know? you can get food poisoning and sick after 30 minutes to several hours. We all got sick before… It is not always takes 24hours and you can find it from simple google search as well.

He was apologizing and asked us to follow up so it is what it is but do not say it needs 24hours to get sick please bc that’s not true and it makes me even more mad & sad especially when my husband threw up the whole meal.

If you are seeing this comment please in the future, be better & educate yourself + have better management. Last thing your customer wanna hear from you is bad excuses especially when your significant other is throwing up all night...
