This happened 11/13/24 at around 5. I like the food at Cava, but the workers always make it a bad experience. The workers at Rancho always rush the process and they usually have a bad attitude. They are not friendly and don’t have good customer service whatsoever. The inconsistency in the portions and the attitude of the workers makes it hard to enjoy the food. It’s really hit or miss.
This one black woman with tattoos was working on my bowl and she only gave me 2 scoops of dips and when I politely asked for my 3rd scoop (since we are allowed 3) she was petty and barely gave me a half scoop. That’s completely unprofessional and unfair to me as a customer. So uncalled for.
Then, Dez at the register asked me to do a survey for her in exchange for a free drink. I remembered her from another time I came to Cava where she was extremely rude to my boyfriend and I. That time, she treated my bowl and my boyfriend’s bowl so carelessly and rudely throwing scoops of food into my bowl with attitude acting like she didn’t want to be there. I was going to leave a bad review on her that day, but I read through reviews on here saying that she was helpful, etc. That made me believe maybe she was having a bad day and I gave her the benefit of the doubt. However, today I learned that she earned all those “good” reviews because she bribes the customers to make good reviews for her to get a free drink because that’s what she did to me. I think it’s such a bad look on a company and an employee to handle it the way she did. She asked me to write her a review about the store and mention her; and she also made me show her my review before getting the drink to which she even posted it for me. I felt pressured to give her a good review because she stood over me peeking over my phone and she made me show her what I wrote so that she could submit it herself. That’s completely dishonest and out of line for a worker to do because I know she is not a good worker after the amount of times I’ve come in and seen her poor work ethic. Not a good look for the business overall. Do...
Read moreI’ve placed mobile orders at this location several times since they’ve opened. However, I’m reluctant to return after my most recent visit because of the complete lack of customer service.
On 9/12/24 I placed a mobile order at 12pm and had a pick up time of 12:30pm. I showed up early and hung out for a bit and then at 12:30pm I stood in the pick up area waiting for my order to be called out. And I waited... At 12:45pm after other orders had been called out, I asked an employee if she could make sure my order was at least in the queue. She took her time with checking and eventually told me “there’s too many orders to know.” That’s odd, because I placed my order 45 minutes ago and there’s still too many orders before me? I continued to wait and about 10 minutes later I told a different employee that I placed my order at noon and asked if it’s truly taking this long. She just said “yes it’s taking that long.” By then, people who placed mobile orders 30 minutes after me were getting their food. It’s not making sense and no one is trying to help me resolve the issue.
At 1:00pm my lunch hour is now over and I’m quite hungry. I asked for the manager and explained my situation and asked if they could simply make my meal right now because I could’ve waited in line three times by now and I was worried my order had been missed or taken.
The manager refused any sort of customer service. He said they were backed up and there was nothing they could do about that and that I could submit a complaint online. I asked for an ETA on my meal and he said he didn’t have one. After an hour I left with no food and feeling like an inconvenience to the staff.
I submitted my complaint to corporate and they quickly refunded and credited me, but the complete lack of customer service at the Rancho location does not make me want to return. The food is great. I guess I’ll save my credit for...
Read moreI was here for their pre-grand opening last summer but haven't really been back until I was able to convince my husband to try it. He's been asking for healthier options but was under the impression that their bowls were so small and wouldn't fill him up.
They open at 10:45am which is an odd time lol but I came here with him on a Saturday right when they opened. We ordered from their set menu (Harissa Avocado and Greek Salad) and my husband makes a couple alterations to his. Some of their menu items are just okay. We enjoyed them and the next thing you know he wanted to come again.
The next time we got another bowl from their menu Chicken+RightRice. The first two times we ordered in person. Depending on who is in front of you, it can be a slow process as people can be indecisive.
So it's become a thing now where my husband asks if I want Cava for dinner during the week days. The next three times I've ordered on the app and he will pick it up on the way home from work. We finally got it down now and order custom Greens + Grains bowls and the toppings to our liking . The bowls are yummy and actually very filling. Now I'll order from the app and we go there to lock up and will eat on their outdoor patio which is also dog friendly by the way. On average for two bowls, I'll spend about $27-$28 (no drinks) which isn't too bad considering we're spending over $40 for two people these days at other places with inflation.
Sometimes the garbage outside is overflowing and they need to wipe down the drink station and tables more often so they may be short-staffed but overall we've received...
