Went to Famous Dave's for the first time after hearing so much about how good it was, and based on what I've heard and the other reviews for this location, I think my experience was not the normal experience unfortunately, and I might have just came on a rougher day. The environment was great. Clean area with lots of humorous signage. The service was pretty good overall as well. I had gone with my wife and baby today, and they sat us in a location where we didn't need to worry about the stroller being bumped, or it getting too loud immediately next to the baby, yet not a spot that would make us feel isolated, so we appreciated that. They also warned us ahead of time of the male restroom issue they were having in case that would cause any problems for our dining experience, so we appreciated the heads up. It was resolved shortly after we sat down anyhow. While the server we had was kind, we did feel like we were attending to/checked up on sorta infrequently, however, it also seemed like our server wasn't overseeing that area, but had taken us due to perhaps a late employee, so the situation may have not been ideal for them in that sense. Now, the big thing that unfortunately impacted my experience was the quality of the food. I had gotten the 12 bones of ribs option, with fries, mac n cheese, corn bread, and sweet tea. Sweet tea and cornbread were great. The fries were just average fries. I can't judge the mac n cheese as I personally just don't care for jalapeño chunks in that, and I was not aware that was part of that item here. The ribs were a huge letdown though. The flavor was okayish, but nothing great, and they were also very tough and not tender at all for me. While I can't say that I would never come back, I don't think I would order the ribs the next time I come. Again, I feel like I just came on an off day, so I don't want to entirely view this place in a negative manner. If I do come back, I hope I can update my review to a...
Read moreWish i could give 0 stars. Was my first time coming and didnât even get to try the food. So letâs start this off by checking in. My partner and I are very visibly âhomosexualâ. So we go in and check in, they tell us itâs about a 20 min wait so we head to the restroom really quick cause we had driven down the hill for my first experience for this. By the time i came back it had only been literally 5 mins, they tell me they called us and told us to wait 5 mins. 20 more mins pass by and the lobby is getting full. The male manager with the heavy Hispanic accent and heavy body set sat us in the way back of the bar corner where nobody could literally see you. We sat there and waited for 10 mins. Not once were we acknowledged after that. There was another elderly couple sitting in the same area but opposite corners and they were being ignored as well and went looking for a waitress. My partner and I go to leave and I wanna speak to the manager who sat us in the very back. When we got to the front I had seen the gentleman man who came after us was sat right up and center where the whole world could see them. Then I spoke to a team member and said we felt like we were being discriminated against because we were sat so far away and hidden. She was taken aback from what I said but then when I was trying to speak to the manager all he said with the nastiest attitude Iâve ever heard from a manager âif you have any questions or anything else call this numberâ then violently tapped his pen to a number on the side of the hostess desk; then walked away from the conversation. That right there solidify that we were in fact being discriminated against by the same manager who sat us in the very back corner of the bar and didnât tell any of his employees to come help us. For my first experience to this place I will never ever forget it. This whole experience was probably about 45 mins. No food, not even...
Read moreWow by far the worst experience ever!!! We went in Father Day with my husband and father in law order our food with drinks. We wait .20 mins to get water, then we waited two hours just to get our salads, Then was told our food and drinks would be coming soon, after waited another 45mins and our food came out with drinks, our food was very cold, apparently our waitress it's too busy to bring our plates to the table that's why they were so cold. We we ended up sending them back to be warmed.
Originally the waitress told us we waited two hours because the cook didn't see all four order he only saw two orders on ticket. How do you only make two dinner plates on ticket and not the other two đ€ that are on the same ticket. The waitress apologies, she said she was overwhelmed they were taking phone orders and sitting people. I understand it's a busy day but If the wait to eat was going to take over three hours they should let the customers know that before sitting them. So they can make a decision to wait 2-3hours to eat or leave. When I complained to manager apologize and said he would take off the drinks from our receipt! Really? That's it! We shouldn't of paid anything. We ended up leaving with out eating and had to pay for salads. We ended up going to in & out. My husband and father in law didn't get to eat anything we ended up leaving and going somewhere else to eat and didn't wait long to be feed and the others restaurant got our order right. Never again. Thank you Olive garden! much better choose, we should of gone there from...
