I was thrilled to have a Chipotle near me in Redmond, but my first experience was not good! Line was long, waited nearly 20 minutes. Tiny little bowl, chicken was sparce, and little rice. Left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. Staff was nice enough but not enough of them, and they aren't proficient enough to move the line quickly. If Chipotle's new approach is to decrease portion sizes rather than increase prices, I'm out. I'd rather pay an extra dollar or so and feel satisfied on my way out the door.
Update*2nd visit on 26th of December 2024. I have lots of time to write this review while I wait in line. See my photos posted in the photos section. Way too few staff members to staff the drive thru and the restaurant. Line is nearly out the front door wrapped around the entire inside of the restaurant. ONE person is making food, and ONE person is ringing up. Wait is at least 20 minutes, if not longer. Staff seems to be in no hurry to move the line. Employees walking around talking. Luckily, I am off work today, killing time, but this would never work on a normal day. This Chipotle is failing so far. Need more staff and better trained staff that know how to move. Also, there is no music in the restaurant. The chef is playing something for the staff behind the counter that you can barely hear. Staff look preoccupied with one another and totally disengaged and unaware of with how many people are waiting. 2nd half of 2nd visit: Just got my bowl after a long wait. I asked the girl if I could have some sofrito with my beans which I had never tried. She said yes when I got to the register, it was $18. I asked why, and she said there was extra charge for it. I told her I didn't know that, and the girl making my bowl didn't say anything. The older lady at the register just shrugged her shoulders and said, "What do you want me to do." I repeated to her that I wouldn't have gotten it if I knew there was a charge. She looked at me like she could care less and gave me an attitude. She then walked back to talk to her manager. The manager told me the only option was to make me a new bowl, which was super awkward because I had to cut back into a long line of people. I told her I wasn't comfortable cutting back into the line but she insisted it was the only way. In the end, the manager comp'd the bowl free of charge, which was nice, but the entire experience was not good. They should have just refunded the original charge and recharged me for the lower cost bowl. Instead, they treated me like I was purposely trying to get something for free, and they only offered to remake the bowl. Even though she ended up comping the entire thing. I would have been happy with the original bowl minus the sofrito charge. That bowl got wasted. People were staring, wondering what was going on, and seemed annoyed they had to wait even longer in an already long line. I had to apologize to the guy I cut in front of. This was handled very poorly in my opinion, especially the initial reaction from the cashier who basically threw her hands up. I appreciate the manager coming around and comping the bowl, and the cashier was nicer after that, but this is just basic rules of good customer service. Unless you know someone is trying to game the rules you should give honest paying customers the benefit of the doubt. On a positive note, the bowls were both normal sizes this time. So I guess they are trying to fix that. I will revise my stars once the service consistently improves but right now it's been a one star for me and I am giving two.
3rd visit: May 9th 25, Much better, employees were very friendly and fast. Older guy with tattoos was very engaging and friendly, said Mahalo which def won me over. Left a tip. Keep it up! Much better....

I love Chipotle, but I strongly caution anyone against dining at the Redmond, OR location. This location has consistently struggled with order accuracy, and every time my family visits this location, we notice poor cleanliness in the dining area and challenges with customer service. As frustrating as these issues can be, they pale in comparison to the serious health risk I encountered as the result of our most recent visit.
On Friday, March 7th, my family picked up an order from this Chipotle location while I was at work. When I got home, my boyfriend advised me that, once again, our family’s orders were wrong, and that he expected ours would likely be as well. We took a few bites to confirm and were happy to find only one ingredient missing this time, so my boyfriend went off to bed while I sat down to eat, finishing my burrito around 1:25 AM and heading off to bed around 2.
Four hours later, I awakened from abdominal pain, and began severely vomiting, occurring every 15-20 minutes with very little rest period in between, followed by diarrhea that continued throughout the day. The inability to keep fluids down without vomiting, coupled with the consistent diarrhea, led to rapid dehydration, extreme fatigue, and a muscle pain like none I have ever experienced. I was rushed to the hospital, and lucky to make it there when I did. By the time I arrived, I was screaming in pain and my fingers were twisting inward from the muscle cramps in my forearms. I was advised that my condition was critical, and that I urgently needed intravenous fluids.
Once my condition was stabilized, I received my diagnosis for this horrific, life threatening event that I had experienced: severe food poisoning. I am currently recovering at home and unable to return to work until Friday the 14th, nearly a week after consuming what was supposed to be a safely prepared meal.
This experience has led me to question whether this location is upholding basic food safety and quality standards. Proper food handling, ingredient checks, and cleanliness are fundamental responsibilities of any place of business that operates by serving FOOD that should be safe for customers to put into their bodies.
I’m sharing my story to warn others and to urge this location to take food safety seriously. No one should have to endure what I...
Read moreI think most of the poor reviews on here are crazy! They’re either written by people who can never be pleased or those who get exactly what they order then complain. I am an extraordinarily particular individual. With that being said, I’ve been to many Chipotle restaurants, specifically both Bend locations. After frequenting the Bend locations, I gave up on Chipotle. Those two locations should be closed permanently based on staff behavior, cleanliness and lack of fresh ingredients.
One day, I discovered the Redmond location. I was very skeptical at first however, I was so impressed on my first visit that I’ve been back at least twice a week for months now. First off, nearly every time my kids and I come here, we find the restaurant to be extraordinarily clean with the beverage service area well stocked. The bathrooms are usually immaculate. The entree assembly counter is typically well stocked, organized and clean. The staff is ALWAYS welcoming, extremely friendly, helpful and they don’t give you look which typically demonstrates they’ve taken it personally when you ask for a little more beans or rice and in reality, one need not ask…they automatically provide far more than fair portion sizes without request. I have yet to receive an entree that I’ve been disappointed with. Trust me, if there’s something off in the slightest, I will know. The culture that Sam (manager) has developed and inspired here at the Redmond restaurant is absolutely amazing. The staff exude happiness and willingness to put forth the effort to make a customer happy. My kids and I drive from Sisters, again, at least twice a week.
If you’ve visited here and not had a great experience, I suggest you return for another visit. I’m not going to say that a restaurant doesn’t have off days because that would be ridiculous, but I will say this is by far the most consistent restaurant I’ve ever patronized! You will not be...
