It was my first time trying curry pizza and this type of pizza has been on my bucket list for years. The place has a welcoming atmosphere and is new looking with a modern vibe. The decor is nice and they have a neat circular large chandelier that caught my eye (very cool). The guy that waited on us was friendly and attentive. The only downside was gum under the table....yuck. If you are sitting on the booth side and go to cross your legs you get your pants rubbing/hitting the gum stuck around the underneath. Since the tables sit lower than normal you are hitting the gum quite a bit during your visit. Pretty nasty as everything else is very clean there. Other than that everything was so good. The curry pizza and garlic sticks were super fresh tasting and the crust rocked! I haven't had tasty pizza like this for a while so it was worth the price! We went in the afternoon and had the place to ourselves which was nice, but wouldn't mind trying it later in the day when the bar is open. The leftovers tasted better the next day and I've been fantasizing about the desi garlic sticks ever since! Besides the gum issue, I'd come here again as I really enjoyed the curry pizza and good service. Thanks for the great food!! So glad...
Read moreThis restaurant offers both classic pizzas that you would find in an Italian restaurant and Indian pizzas with a wide variety of sauces and toppings. Notably they offer many vegan options and carry vegan cheese, which is awesome as Vesta is closed on Sundays and Pizza My Heart’s vegan pizzas are kind of like cardboard. Just be extra careful to confirm it’s actually vegan; the first one they made me had real cheese by accident. They were very apologetic, remade it, and gave me free chips and a discount. Their cheese that is actually vegan is really good! It tastes like a cross between mozzarella and parmesan.
They have big tvs if you want to watch sports and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. It would be a good place to take a family because the prices are reasonable and they have food for adventurous eaters and picky kids alike. The train is a little loud for eating in but it doesn’t pass often on weekends.
But the main reason I would go back is that people who work there are really nice. The hostess is super friendly and the weekend bartender Josh is really smart (his day job is as a teacher). Their bar is under construction and a new bigger bar is opening in about two weeks. It’s a little bare bones in interim but they...
Read moreCurry Pizza House has a laid-back, casual vibe and wasn’t too busy when we went, so we easily grabbed a table. We started with drinks and garlic sticks, which arrived quickly and were pretty tasty. The curry chicken masala pizza was solid—it had a nice flavor, and the crust was on point.
We decided to try three different pizzas based on some of our favorite Indian dishes: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and paneer with pesto. Unfortunately, none of them really captured the essence of the Indian dishes we love. The toppings didn’t resemble the flavors we were expecting, and all three pizzas ended up being pretty dry, even the butter chicken one.
While the pizzas weren’t bad by any means, they didn’t quite hit the mark for us in terms of Indian flavors. Still a decent spot, just not what we anticipated when we thought of...
