We came on a Sunday evening for dinner before a movie. We showed up and no one acknowledged us, so I walked up to the cash register to ask if we could be seated. We were informed after having been there for 20 mins (and after having ordered 10 mins before) that they were out of their rice noodles and therefore essentially sandwiches are what they had to offer. When we walked in, I heard the owner saying something to the servers about being out of noodles. Then just to tip things off, they overcharge us for the one baverage we ordered. I actually asked the server and he said it was correct. However I looked at the menu before we left and no, they overcharged us. But honestly, any restaurant would have comped you the drink after waiting 25 mins to tell you that basically they were out of almost everything on their menu. Anyhow, won’t be returning ever. Terrible attitude and dishonest...

0/10. I’m actually traumatized. We went in and the guy was very rude. Barely acknowledged us. I had a bad feeling because of the bad service and less the pleasant smell but we already ordered so we decided to stick it out. Worst mistake.

I got the pho Thai (rare steak), my friend got the pho ga (chicken noodle). It was pretty flavorless so we dressed it up with the condiments. Something tastes off, I smelled the hoisin sauce and it smelt like rotten milk. Disgusting. And then I found a piece of my intestine in my soup and that was it. I sent it back. My friend didn’t want to pay for hers either because of the rotten hoisen sauce in hers. He charged us any way and screamed that we couldn’t ever come back. AS IF WE EVER WOULD. This place needs to...

My new go-to for true Vietnamese on the Peninsula! Super similar to the pho I’ve had in Vietnam and SJ (my standard)—pure, simple, fresh! Such a homey spot with an extensive menu of Vietnamese classics: banh xeo (rice crepe), cha gio (imperial rolls with taro), pho, bún rieu, vermicelli bowls, rice plates—even the banh mí’s look great. Food came out super quick; flavors weren’t too salty/heavy but just right. Great outdoor patio right on Broadway with string lights for the vibes. With the warm weather it felt like I was back in Saigon enjoying a bowl of pho on the street while motorcycles buzz around. Hard to find a gem like this on the Peninsula. If you’re looking for super homey, true Vietnamese...

We got to see the restaurant post remodel! My husband and I used to come here a lot when we lived in RWC, as our fast and quick, no frills pho spot. Now the look and feel of the restaurant is much improved, it feels significantly cleaner (no more sticky tables/floors), and I'd venture to say that I was impressed by the quality of the meat in the pho, as well as the lemon provided (tasted like a lemon from a yard tree instead of a commercial lemon). The restaurant is under a new partnership, and the new partner was in the store, was very friendly, and had a good eye for things to change. We'll be coming back again to see how things continue to develop!
