This is absolutely unacceptable customer service from a manager that I received today at 4:45pm at this location. Manager refused to give me his name(he wears glasses and ear ring in the left ear) hope you can backtrack this. I ordered TooGoodToGo pickup today in advance. Was driving to this place in a good mood hoping to, as it says there: fight food waste with you, and got there on time for pickup, parked my car and paid for parking, went in, mentioned that I have that pickup order and in addition ordered coffee from the register. Manager came to me and said that he is not going to help me with my TooGoodToGo order that they are out of it. Then I said that I only got here for this, and asked is there at least an option to use this order ($3.99) instead of a refund to just give me coffee for that as a thank you for getting here and wasting my time. He said that he will not do it, I asked couple times politely that it was my time and money and not my fault that this location does not update things on the third party app that you use. He refused to cooperate at all. And he said to me âgood bye you can go nowâ, I asked his name he refused to give it to me (and this is manager here?) He was not at all kind or friendly during the whole interaction, just got defensive from the start. He was not rude, but definitely not emphatic or helpful⊠Really you care more about $4 cup of coffee when it is not your customers fault instead of your brand name? I hope it gets to the right person! Iâm so frustrated with this situation. And argument that it is a third party service is so fake.. if I was part of the team at the location Iâd try to prevent such experience for customers or at least apologize with a cup of coffee for the time and money wasted to get there. And I get it end of shift, 10 mins before closing, bad mood? Should it affect communication skills and customer...
Read moreThere is a blonde effeminate man that has blonde hair at the register today, 7/25 at 12pm that first ignored me to finish a story with a co-worker, then took my order and very passively aggressively made me listen to the options I already knew after I told him, and when I went to pay cash he told me they are cashless. I told him that âmessed up for the economyâ, he says â itâs been like this for three years and âthatâs not my problem, thereâs not I can do about it, itâs out of my controlâ. I asked for the manager he said there was nobody in management there. We exchanged this for two rounds then I said i canât buy coffee and he said oh good, also feel free to not come backâ. I admittedly screamed Iâd come back tomorrow but letâs be real, Philz needs to fire him before o give any more more to any bratty barista from Philz ever again. Boooooo to this local coffee. Hello...
Read morePhilz has non-espresso drinks only, and baristas will help you choose of many coffee roasts to make your cup, one cup at a time for you. You wait on benches until your order comes up. I think most of the time their coffee is excellent, but out of my last maybe 5 orders, especially for their version of a mocha, the mocha tesora, the consistency has been really bad. Sometimes itâs a dream drink, and sometimes - especially iced - itâs a chalky, protein shake-like mess. Iâm not sure whatâs causing it. The shop whole clean is usually pretty full, and the music is very loud which makes it hard to have conversations or meetings there. If youâre someone who likes to listen to music on blast while you work, youâll love it. Otherwise, make sure to order a standard hot coffee drink, not their ginger or mocha, and then take your coffee for a walk...
