I have only written one other review in my entire life, but 302 Social Eatery and Barroom at 70 Rehoboth Ave in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, is so exceptional that I felt compelled to take the time to share my experience.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by General Manager Cody Jones, whose presence and hospitality immediately set the tone for the evening. His passion for providing an outstanding dining experience is evident in every detail, from the ambiance to the impeccable service.
Speaking of service, our server, Kat, was nothing short of phenomenal. Attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly, she made us feel like old friends rather than just guests at a restaurant. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she ensured our evening was nothing less than perfect.
As for the foodâwow! Every dish was crafted with care, bursting with flavor, and served with a touch of warmth that reminded me of my little Italian motherâs home cooking. The menu offers something for everyone, but no matter what you order, you can tell that quality ingredients and a love for great food are at the heart of every plate.
The atmosphere is just as inviting as the food. Cozy yet lively, it strikes the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, making it a place you want to return to again and again. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with friends, a romantic dinner, or just a place to unwind with a great cocktail, 302 Social delivers in every way.
If you're in Rehoboth Beach and havenât experienced 302 Social yet, do yourself a favor and make this eatery your choice. This place isnât just a restaurantâitâs an experience, and one that Iâll be coming back for time and time again.
Five stars just donât seem...
Read moreI am not one to write reviews but feel the need to share my recent experience at 302.
I visited 302 with my boyfriend and family after the fireworks on July 5th. We are all Delaware locals, and enjoy trying new restaurants and supporting local businesses in the area. Our group spent the day working and then we all rushed over to see the Rehoboth fireworks (which did not disappoint).
Upon entering 302, there was a small man with a mustache who claimed to be the manager, who began to scream at my party as we entered the front door. We were holding two beach chairs and the manager demanded that we get out of the restaurant with beach chairs. He then told his staff to tell us to leave as we had beach chairs in our hands.
We were really taken back by this manâs behavior as this is the way we were greeted when we first walked in the door. His attitude was very condescending and it was a horrible first impression.
I understand that it was late at night and Iâm sure the restaurant was busier than usual (due to the fireworks), which can cause some added stress on the staff, however, this is no excuse to scream at potential customers as they walk in the front door.
To the owners, if you read this review, Iâd encourage you to talk to this man who manages your business at night. He could use some training on how to treat customers as they enter your business. No one in my party drinks alcohol. We decided to go down to Summer House where we spent quite a bit of our hard earned money. In fact, the manager there welcomed us in with our beach chairs and even let us store the chairs behind their front counter while we...
Read moreWe were seated and offered drinks. Then we waited for more than a half hour for our food during which time our waitress never checked in on us. Other customers who were seated after us got their food before us. Utensils were delivered after our food finally came. When my husbandâs chicken wrap came it was mostly lettuce. My Burrata came with the three little strips of toast, not enough to even finish eating the burrata. I asked for more toast and was told there would be an up charge. For TOAST. The toast never came. My husband went to the manager and he argued with us. Told my husband he obviously didnât understand the restaurant business (he does) and thatâs just the way it is. The place has terrible management and terrible service. They took a beer and a sandwich off the bill but werenât sorry and were rude about it. We ran into another couple who ate there at the same time and they run another area restaurant and saw what happened and were appalled. They also had a terrible experience with both food and service. Donât go...
