I really had high hopes for this place after reading its reviews. My wife ordered Peking Duck. The duck was very good, but the crepes served with the duck were so brittle that they could not be folded without cracking into pieces. I ordered Kung Pao chicken. The serving was very generous, but the flavor was not very good. It looked beautiful, but the flavor had no depth, like the meat had not been marinated, but just stir-fried and a sauce added at the end of the cooking process. Really disappointed, because I love a good Kung Pao. We also shared an order of shrimp/pork dumplings and sauteed green beans, which were both very good.
When I discussed the crepe issue with waitress, she apologized and said the crepes were not made to order, but reheated! I would not expect this from a restaurant that takes pride in the food it serves...very disappointed...ruined the experience of eating sliced duck and green onion, folded in a crepe smeared with plum sauce.
Just a note, the restaurant was packed, so people must really like this place. We may have been the unfortunate ones to have received two meals that were not on par with their...
Read moreProbably some of the most overpriced Chinese I have ever had. We got the Walnut shrimp and scallops, the beef chow fun, and the sautéed green beans. The beef chow fun was decent, but very underseasoned. It was, however, definitely the most tender beef I've ever had in that particular dish.
I didn't particularly enjoy the shrimp and scallops, but that was most likely because we were expecting a different sauce. The shrimp and scallops were actually cooked to the perfect doneness. They came in an orange sauce that I could liken to a very light sweet and sour. Again, just not the flavors we were looking for.
I think our favorite was the small plate of sautƩed green beans. They were on par with most of the other Chinese places we've been to, so that was nice.
The server wasn't outright rude, but didn't seem to want to serve me and my wife. Not a single smile.
The parking lot next to them seemed to be blocked off for whatever reason. So finding parking was difficult, as there was only limited street parking.
All in all, definitely not worth the money or the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI do not recommend this Chinese restaurant. Came with family during vacation. The place was very under lit. Dark. I donāt know who wrote the glowing reviews of this restaurant but I question the authenticity. Our food was bad. No flavor. Not tasty. Lots of soy sauce coloring. We brought the food to hotel and couldnāt finish it. We couldnāt finish half of what we ordered. Tossed it in trash. McDonaldās would have taste better and more value. Skip this one. But if u still decide to patron at this restaurant, make sure to check your receipt on your way out. We didnāt order much but bill came to $47. Since we were on vacation, we let it go since we already left the place. Couldnāt find the receipt. If u do decide to come here, make sure to ask for your receipt. We went to Masonās Famous Lobster Rolls the following day. About the same price we paid. Better food, location, and very lighted. ...
