First off, the ower/manager (male) came from the kitchen to hand me my meal and for me to pay for my take-out order. He WAS NOT wearing a mask. He asked me to sign for my order when paying with my credit card. I told him that I would gladly sign, if he would move back 6 ft since he wasn't wearing a mask.
Second, the published menu states that my order of Falafel Entree was $15.99. He charged me $16.99. I didn't question him about it; I just paid and quickly left.
In hindsight, I should not have even paid for or picked up the entree. I should have told him that I didn't want it for Covid reasons and for cheating me.
I ended up reheating the meal before I ate it in an attempt to kill any germs.
I will say that the rice was very tasty. But, the entree was certainly not worth even the $15.99 published price. It consisted of 4 fried, hard, dried out falafel, rice, one semi-circle pita bread (small), 3 slices of grilled peppers (equal to about 3/4 of a full pepper), a sliver of a grilled tomato and yogurt sauce.
BTW, the falafel was dried out before I reheated them.
Lesson learned; I will not return to Semra's...
Read moreFood was just ok. Portion is small. The taste and portion do not match with price. We knew their menu and aware of the pricing become coming. We had certain expectation based on the price. For the price, you would expect a mind blowing taste of meditarranean food, or at least big, fulfilling portion.
I was shocked when the food came. To be honest for the kind of food (meditarranean), there is nothing much complication or sophistication you can add to it. Even halal cart food in New York can sell this type of food on the street (which taste much better and portion much bigger). So no, the taste is just ok, nothing mind blowing and again, portion is really disappointing.
We did confront about it, and (maybe) the store owner ended up giving us 15% discount (thank you). He did mention that the prime location near the Rehoboth Beach is what reflects the price. I do not want to know about their cost and pricing issue, but I think they can do better to find the right PRICING AND VALUE to make customers happy.
I do not mind the price, but for what we got, it was too disappointing. Never...
Read moreI don’t understand what’s with places like this and their greed with extra napkins. Are extra napkins worth more than a loyal customer.
Basically my husband and I along with my 7 month old baby went to get a few wraps from this placed along with drinks. When I asked for extra napkins bc typically these wraps are equivalent to Big Macs and they get so messy, they proceeded to give me only two napkins. Now mind you I have already spend $50 here on our meal and what is $.50 worth of napkins if even, to $50 of food and possibly a recurring customer. Yeah ppl surely don’t know how to run their businesses, this was a middle aged middle eastern lady that’s always sitting by the window. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I will not be going back ever again, even tho we were just testing it for a huge family dinner of 15 ppl and they could have made roughly $500 for that dinner.
Maybe they will learn from this and apply it to their...
