Terrible Experience at Cafe Central – Avoid at All Costs

My family and I arrived at the Silver Legacy Casino just after 9 PM, exhausted from a flight from South Carolina to Las Vegas followed by a seven-hour drive to Reno. We were staying at Circus Circus (a regrettable choice, but that's another story). Expecting ample late-night dining options in a casino, we were shocked to find limited choices. The front desk provided a list stating that Habit Burger and Cafe Central would be open. However, Habit Burger was closed, so we made our way to Cafe Central with our tired 11-year-old in tow.

We ordered takeout: tacos for my wife, fish and chips for myself, and a burger for our son. Fifteen minutes later, only the burger was ready. When we inquired about the rest of the food, we were told it was on its way. After another ten minutes, the rest of the order was handed to us by a helpful young lady.

The trek back to our room took about ten minutes, involving several small flights of stairs—a challenge while carrying luggage and food. Upon reaching our room, we discovered there was no cutlery provided. The tacos came with rice and other sides, and we had no way to eat them. The fries included with the meals looked and felt like rubber bands; they seemed as if they had been cooked hours earlier and left under a heat lamp. They were the worst excuse for French fries I've ever seen.

We tried calling the front desk and Cafe Central for assistance, but no one picked up. Reluctantly, I made the 20-minute round trip back to the restaurant to get cutlery. I explained the situation and was offered to speak with the duty manager. A young man with a beard appeared, and I recounted our experience regarding the fries and lack of cutlery. His demeanor was polite but came across as smarmy and supercilious. He asked if I wanted the fries replaced but noted it would take time. Given that our original order was already 30 minutes old, I declined. He simply shrugged and handed me the cutlery.

The next morning, I spoke to the front desk, who promised that the food and beverage manager would contact me that day. No call came. The following morning, I inquired again and was told they had left a message, yet I received no calls or voicemails. On the third day, I had the same conversation with the front desk and still no response.

This level of poor service, not just from the restaurant but also from the management, is unacceptable. It's astonishing that customer satisfaction isn't a priority here. Given this experience, I have no desire to gamble or spend any more time at any of the three casinos owned by Caesars Entertainment in the area. Outside of Vegas, it seems customer service is...

Nestled in the heart of the row I recently had the most unforgettable breakfast experience, but what made this meal truly stand out wasn’t just the food. It was the Godfather of service himself Lloyd and an unexpected twist of something called giggle juice. The ambience was very cozy and the aromas of sizzling onion, bell peppers and ham promised something special but then the Godfather appeared if you’ve never met Lloyd, let me tell you he’s a legend, not only does he have an almost supernatural ability to know what you need before you ask, but his presence adds a touch of class and charming that elevates the entire dining experience think old-school hospitality meets effortless charm. He’s like the Dawn of breakfast service ensuring everything is executed to perfection, as for the Denver omelette, it was a symphony of flavors. The eggs were cooked to a perfection, gold and fluffiness enveloping a savory mix of ham, sautéed onions, and great green peppers. The cheese cheddar melted to cozy perfection brought it all together. Every bright was a celebration of simple ingredients prepared with Care. I couldn’t resist trying the giggle juice in a fishbowl. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be light fizzy concoction that added a playful bubbly contrast to the Hardy meal, it had the perfect hint of sweetness and left me with a subtle warmth like the perfect cocktail. You never knew you needed. Was it champagne a twist of citrus the magic remains a mystery but one thing for sure it made me smile the rest of the day summary, this wasn’t just a breakfast. It was an experience the Denver omelette with perfection on a plate, but the Godfather turned it into something unforgettable weather. It’s his expert timing or his smooth delivery of that giggle juice. This place knows how to do breakfast right highly recommend don’t leave without asking for the juice, the Godfather won’t...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Central for a late lunch with a group of friends, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

We ordered quite a spread, including an omelet meal, chicken wings, a quesadilla, fried rice, and General chicken. I must say, everything was not just good—it was absolutely delicious! Each dish was packed with flavor and expertly prepared. The omelet was massive, just the right fluffiness and was filled with fresh ingredients, while the chicken wings were perfectly crispy and came with a tangy sauce that had just the right kick. The quesadilla was cheesy and loaded with flavor, and the fried rice was a delightful mix of textures and tastes. As for the General chicken, it was sauced with a perfect balance of sweetness and spice that made it hard to stop eating.

One of the highlights of our meal was the generous portion sizes. We definitely left with our fill, and we even had enough leftovers to treat our funny, affectionately nicknamed "The Godfather" server. It was a nice touch that added to the overall friendly vibe of the restaurant.

Speaking of service, it was nothing short of excellent. Our server was attentive and personable, ensuring we had everything we needed while also sharing some laughs with us. It’s always enjoyable when the staff genuinely seems to enjoy their job, and it made our visit all the more pleasant.

Overall, our late lunch at Cafe Central was a fantastic experience. With delicious food, generous portions, and exceptional service, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our weekend. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a satisfying meal in a cheerful atmosphere. We will definitely be returning for another round—and you can bet we’ll be making another plate for...
