Time for me to pan a restaurant! First let me begin addressing this companies marketing campaign. You most likely, if you are even paying passing attention heard or saw Port of Subs ads toutting Sliced Fresh Sandwiches. Every location I have visited in fact has a slicer right at the beginning of their production line. HELLO Port of Subs! Your slicing deli meats so packed with preservatives, you could slice the meat, or the cheese days in advance and it wouldn't effect the taste! Even if you could stuff that sandwich in nanoseconds, you will NOT improve the outcome!
Got that off my chest, but not done! As a child, I remember distinctly ordering a sandwich at a local deli, they would pile (literally) the meat onto the grinder, cheese was two and three slices thick. The veggies stacked! I would not expect to see that style in any deli today. At the opposite end of the spectrum, a single level of meat, and cheese... Are the shareholders employed to maximize profits? I see the same commitment to frugality exhibited by that underground national chain!
Finally, other than service, and cleanliness (I will credit both for all visited locations), the only potential salvation for this sandwich crank would be the bread. Sad to say, nothing remarkable here. Which is a perfect summation as to how I rank...
Read moreI had such an outstanding experience at Port of Subs thanks to Cody and Izzy! From the moment I walked in, they both greeted me with genuine smiles and such positive energy. They worked together seamlessly, making sure my order was not only correct but also prepared with such care and attention to detail.
Cody went above and beyond to make helpful suggestions and made me feel like a truly valued customer. Izzy was equally amazing—friendly, efficient, and making sure everything was fresh and exactly how I wanted it. You can tell they both take pride in their work and really care about the customer experience.
It’s rare to come across a team that is this professional, courteous, and kind while still keeping the atmosphere fun and welcoming. Cody and Izzy are the kind of employees who make you want to come back again and again. Port of Subs is lucky to have them representing...
Read moreThe quality of this store is pretty much what could be expected for the neighborhood. I've eaten from here many times and this last time kinda took the wind out of my sails. I ordered a hot pastrami with bacon, toasted. Pastrami barely passed as hot, bacon was as crisp as the lettuce (limp and wet) and it didn't get toasted. Slathered on the mayo-mustard mix a bit heavy and let every drip of pickle brine take over the sourdough. I ate the first half like an actual sandwich but the later second half wound up more like a salad with soggy croutons where the bread once was. It might have been an off day or it might've just been the negative spirit of the neighborhood. Often, their customers get a little too upset over mistakes (or whatever) at a friggin...
