Gordon Ramsay’s new kitchen in Reno is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece—a dazzling addition to the city’s dining scene that has firmly raised the bar for excellence. From the moment you step into the restaurant, you’re greeted by a sophisticated, yet warm and inviting atmosphere that manages to strike the perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy comfort.
The service is, in a word, impeccable. Every member of the staff is not only attentive but genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we were seated, our server exuded warmth and professionalism, offering detailed explanations of the menu and thoughtful recommendations tailored to our preferences. Water glasses were never left half-empty, and plates were cleared with the kind of precision you’d expect in a Michelin-starred establishment.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the food. Ramsay’s Beef Wellington is everything you’d hope for and more. It’s the quintessential dish that epitomizes his mastery in balancing flavors and textures. The flaky puff pastry is golden perfection, encasing a succulent piece of beef tenderloin that practically melts in your mouth. Paired with a rich red wine, this dish is, quite simply, divine.
The pan-seared scallops were another standout. Cooked to perfection, each scallop boasted a caramelized crust that gave way to a buttery, tender interior. It’s a dish that’s as refined as it is satisfying, showcasing the kind of finesse that turns simple ingredients into works of art.
But the menu doesn’t stop there. From the perfectly executed appetizers to the decadent desserts, every course is a testament to Ramsay’s commitment to quality. The sticky toffee pudding is a must-try—a moist, flavorful cake topped with a luscious toffee sauce and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that ties it all together.
The wine list is extensive and well-curated, offering something to please every palate. Our server guided us to an excellent pairing for both the Wellington and scallops, further enhancing the meal.
The ambiance only adds to the experience. Soft lighting, tasteful décor, and the lively hum of diners enjoying themselves create a setting that feels special without being pretentious. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or just looking to indulge, this restaurant makes every visit feel like an occasion.
In every respect—food, service, and atmosphere—Gordon Ramsay’s new Reno kitchen is an absolute triumph. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that leaves you marveling at the artistry behind every detail. If you’re in Reno, this is a dining destination you simply cannot miss. And trust me: do yourself a favor and order the Beef Wellington and scallops. You’ll...
Read moreMy husband and I don't get out much now that we've got a new little one, so we were trying to do something special for the first time in a year. Made reservations for 430pm online. The first time I've ever done that. Had to pay $25 to save the seat. More about that later. Arrived early, waited, and walked. We're supposed to get a "kitchen" view. This was my husband's back to the kitchen, it's not sitting in a booth when we were the first to arrive, so we're across from each other. The service at dinner was impeccable. It's after that I've got a problem with. Back to dinner, water is tap city water unless you want to pay for water. I think that's really cheap for this scale of a restaurant. No bread unless you pay, etc... we ordered the filet, beef wellington, mac and cheese, and Ceasars salad, plus my water was $180. Think that's a bit much. My husband thought the wellington wasn't that special after years of me forcing him to watch Hell's Kitchen and everyone raving about it. My filet was very good. In all honesty, I probably will not go back. It's just not worth the cost, unless I can meet the man himself. When we were leaving and paying the bill, I asked about the $25 reservation. Do we get that back? The waitress said it would come off my card since we arrived for dinner. I was satisfied with that answer and we left. A week later, I looked at my bank, and there is still a $25 charge. I called the Silver Legacy. First call, sent to another extension, and it just rang and rang. Second call, after waiting for someone to help me for 15 minutes, I was hung up on. 3rd call, same as the first. So, I gave up and called back after 5 pm, and finally got patched through to the restaurant. Spoke with a manager, Chris. He said he remembered the reservation and would get it fixed. One week passed, checked my account again, and was still there. I had to call back and ask for Chris. He stateout he should have been done, and he received an email. It had not. He said he'd request again. I know things happen, I was treated politely, but it was a bit ridiculous and quite a bit of a run around. Time...
Read moreMy fiancé took me here for my birthday, and it was a fantastic experience! While I couldn’t find a reservation on the restaurant’s website, I was able to secure one through OpenTable at our preferred time.
We opted for the three-course menu with a wine flight and, though the restaurant was quite busy, the wait wasn’t too long.
Service: Outstanding! The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable.
Atmosphere: We were seated outside near the main walkway of the casino. It was a bit loud, but not overly distracting.
Cocktails: Both of our cocktails were excellent—well-crafted and delicious.
Food: • The Caesar salad was underwhelming (4/10)—it needed more dressing, and the croutons weren’t great. • The crab cakes, on the other hand, were amazing! • We both had the Beef Wellington, which was very good, though slightly under-seasoned in both the beef and the duxelles. • The mashed potatoes were rich and flavorful but cooled too quickly on the plate—warming the plates beforehand would be a nice touch. • Dessert was the bread pudding, and it was absolutely incredible! • Our server selected the wines for our flight, and she did a fantastic job pairing them with our meal.
Overall, it was a great (though pricey) dining experience—definitely worth it for a...
