Today, 11/11/2024, I went to the Renaissance Parkway Panera. Recently, I've encountered instances of rudeness and nonchalant behavior from the staff, which I have attributed to a bad day. Today, I asked for a chicken ceasar salad and extra dressing. I said I’d pay for the extra dressing if need be, as I’ve always said for the many years I’ve been coming to Panaera. Today, the girl informed me that they are unable to provide any additional items due to the high cost of food. I responded, "I understand, but I'm willing to pay for it." She responded, "No, we won't charge you, but we can't give you extra." She put her manager on Jessie, who repeated the same thing. I again offered to pay for the extra and was refused again; he stated, “I don’t even know how to do that." After attempting to explain that I’ve been coming to Panarea for years and I’m willing to pay for the extra, I was told, “No, this is all you can have; do you want it or not?”. It's regrettable that the quality of customer service has declined in many places, while the requests for tips have increased. I've been frequenting Panera for years, and my staff routinely uses it for orientation for new employees and for staff meetings several times a month. However, starting today, we will no longer be visiting Panera due to the unacceptable quality of their service. Read morePurchased food to go. Took a drink off my ice tea. It tasted like coffee. I had my husband taste it. He said it is ice coffee. Someone must of got the ice coffee mixed up in the ice tea bubbler container. Simple fix....so I thought. I called Panera Bread spoke to a manager Cynthia she said assistant to the general manager. I explained my dilemma I said I'm not coming back for an iced tea but I do expect a refund because I am certainly not going to drink coffee when I purchased ice tea. She never apologized. I suggested she taste the tea. Said she don't drink caffeine. She said she would empty it out. And said I would get a refund. And give me a tea replacement. Again no apologies. Only that i was the only one who complained. Isnt that enough. That was a big mess up. I don't drink coffee. And we purchased to go. I went in next day and got refund. And another employee brought a ice tea in cup out. And Cynthia said there's your free drink. Again never apologized. I asked her where tea was. She said in back. As cleaning the bubbler out. I would imagine that would take some time. Perhaps they need to not put ice coffee next to the bubbler drinks. Both my husband and I felt this manager was not friendly. Read moreAvoid this location. I went tonight to take my little man for a simple cookie. When we pulled in there were 3 or 4 cars in front of us, no big deal. We waited. And waited. Several cars pulled in behind me. We waited some more. Finally we were able to order; cookie for my little guy and a coffee for me. We had to wait to have our order taken, ok it happens. Then we waited and waited and waited. I wanted to leave but there was no way out. My little guy started getting frustrated. We finally pull up to the window and just sit there. No one acknowledged us or even seemed to care. At first I thought they might have been understaffed because I only saw 2 people. But nope, I eventually counted about 6 people. They seemed to have enough time for a few of them to just stop and talk for a few minutes. Eventually they took my payment and gave me my order. I asked if they had put cream in sweetener in the bag, they had not and when I asked for some it took another few minutes to get it to me. Yes, they were nice, yes, they gave me 2 free cookies for having to wait so long, but I waited for 45 minutes to an hour (I didn't note the exact time when I pulled in) for some cookies and a coffee with only 3 or 4 people in front of me.
