I would quite literally give them 0 stars if I could. I will never return here in life. I arrived to pick up $60 worth of food to be met with blatant racism. The man behind the counter who already appeared to be drunk or just plain ignorant decided to ask if I had been in the restaurant earlier in the week. I said no to which he replied “oh must have been the other black girl with braids, you know because you all look alike”. He goes on to say he hopes we don’t think he’s racist for a bad joke. Funny how he already knew how the “joke” was said. My fiancé and I proceeded to ignore him for the sake of just getting out of an uncomfortable position and he repeated himself 3-4 times. When we expressed that we didn’t like the joke and we don’t play that way he continued to just keep saying he meant it as a joke and minimizing his distasteful comments. Had I reacted out of emotion then I would have been the one in the wrong. In what world would you think a tasteless comment like that would be funny to a complete stranger and someone who is a PAYING customer. As someone with a Master’s degree I will never in life tolerate micro aggressions from anyone lacking the emotional intelligence to understand when they’ve offended someone. I will not spend my HARD EARNED BLACK MONEY at a place like this, go look for the “other black girl with braids” that looks like me to support your business because...
Read moreI usually eat here when I'm hung over or want a quick treat.
But my last experience service was a little slow as they were super busy. The soup was not as tasty as it usually is. I had to go up n ask where my food was.
I was sitting waiting for about 35 min. While I saw folks get seated and served twice n one booth b4 I got my food. I wasn't mad more disappointed. Then, I saw the service I received and the kind smiles n banter the other guests were getting.
I went to talk to the waiter who was obviously doing his best w the limited staff and busy lunch hour. The waitor punched in my order quickly, pretending that the kitchen was just backed up. I saw him do it as I asked, " Didn't I order a Pho chicken soup w my eggrolls?
The waitor then comes up to me after my meal finally comes out n whispers n my ear while pating me on my shoulder that the pho chicken takes the longest to cook. Just to let ya know. I thought he was coming to apologize for the slow service. Maybe offer to pay for the Pho.
Don't forget that I frequent the restaurant a lot n know how long my order usually takes.
All in all, I left disappointed in the experience vowed to find a new Pho place. But I'll be back. 😆
That was the first time I experienced that kind of service there, so I am sure and hope it was a...
Read moreI wouldn't comeback to this place. Since we opened the door, we were greeted like they didn't want us there. The host from the middle of the restaurant yelled "is it to go" we said, No, we are dinning in. Then they sat us down to the dirtiest table they could find, my wife had to ask them to please clean the table. The food came out and then they came to clean the table, to top that, they forgot about my son's food. As far as the food taste goes, the food was nothing to be thrilled about, we had the Phò, and it was quite tasteless, the fried rice we ordered was too salty, like they added salt on top of the soy sauce. I'm very disappointed because I was really looking forward to having that place to be my go to Phò place for after the movies, but from the service we received right away (Remember people first impressions do count) to the food taste, I don't see myself coming back any time soon. Who knows later on, but right now, they have ways to go to improve. Don't forget that without Customers you have no business, so it is paramount that you treat your guests better and not like it bothers you that they showed up. Hopefully in the future if they stay in business, it gets better. I wish them the best, but they may want to rethink who will greet their customers at the door...
