Placed our order over the phone and came to pick it up. By the time we got there we had decided to purchase additional food and since we had already ordered and had spoken with someone, we were told it would be fine to come inside and pick it up. When we came inside, we were asked to leave because we weren't wearing masks. When we called, and told them we'd be there to pick it up shortly, no one told us we would be required to wear masks. So we actually had to leave and get back in the vehicle and go through the drive-thru. The lady who informed us we needed to be wearing masks was quite rude and did not seem to appreciate the fact that we were trying to support the local economy by eating out. I was shocked that she would not let us order and forced us out of the building and back into our vehicle with our only option being to go through the drive-thru. They clearly had the opportunity to tell us we needed masks when we were on the telephone with them but neglected to do that. And yes, this is after the stay-at-home order was lifted and local restaurants are allowed to operate at limited capacity. To be quite honest, if it hadn't been for the kids who had requested Taco Cabana at home, I would have disregarded the order altogether and driven across the street to Chick-fil-A. But I didn't want to have to listen to the mouths of the kids. I totally felt unappreciated and felt like I was talked to and treated rudely. I drive or walk past this place daily and I will not be going back. Not because the food is bad but because of who the owners have chosen to hire as their employees and the way they treat the customers. I'm sorry Taco Cabana. My words mean little and so there's nothing I can do simply by expressing myself. That's why I will not be returning to your restaurant. My words won't change anything but when offended by the way we are treated, the biggest impact we can have is to stop spending our dollars with you. Do this long enough and to enough people, and you will be closing your doors permanently. I certainly...
Read moreI come here at least twice a month to get a dozen tortillas for my mom's recipes. This restaurant is the remedy to the disgusting lack of good tortillas sold in supermarkets, and they are the best tortillas that have ever entered my mouth within a forty minute drive. Price is fine, only $3.02 for twelve good quality tortillas is not bad at all. I have only used the drive-thru, so I am not sure about inside wait time. Wait time in DT is a little long, but worth it, especially if you aren't in a hurry. When I came and there was no line at all, it took one minute and thirteen seconds for them to open the window to give me my total, and an additional minute and seventeen seconds to hand me my order after that. I attribute the wait to the fact that everything is fresh, and the tortillas they give me are always piping hot, as tortillas should be. Queso tastes a bit like your average nacho cheese, but I like that stuff, so it's all about preferences. Personally, I have not eaten anything else on the menu... BUT during my tortilla runs, my family sometimes requests other items like beans, rice, and fajita fixings, and they all have great things to say about the menu.
Also, once I ordered a large drink here, and they took my money before they realized that they were out of large cups, so they gave me a medium and offered a whole entree in place of the missing two inches of cup- like who does that?? I couldn't accept the generous offer, but it just shows you the kind of second-mile service they offer here.
Good stuff. 10/10. Won't stop...
Read moreI am giving this place three stars only because it was based on my experience that I had yesterday (June 20th, 2019). I was really craving some taco cabana because right now I am currently pregnant and it was the cheapest and closest place to my job for me to go to without spending a lot of money in delivery fees or wasting gas to travel to a restaurant to pick up food. I ordered my food online and when it was time I went to pick it up. I picked up my order and I decided that I wanted to add a CRISPY taco to my order. My initial order came out and was ready to go and I waited just a little bit for my one taco to come out. They were busy but that wasn't my issue, time was really speedy and I was quite happy with that. However, my issue is is when I got back to work and started pulling out my food I noticed that my taco was a soft taco when I initially ordered a crunchy taco. The guy that took my order even confirmed that I ordered a crunchy taco. Yet it wasn't what I ordered... Then when I opened up my no shell bowl it was a complete mess, again that's fine whatever. But there wasn't a lot of food in my bowl. I guess I was spoiled to the amount of food that I was given when I had gotten the same thing at another location before they relocated due to highway was being widened. So my only issue is I ordered something and it was repeated back to me, I expected to have gotten what I ordered. You never mess up a pregnant...
