You enter through the glass door, now seeing the interior for the first time. There was kind of a glare on the windows outside. Immediately you're hit with an array of colors from all directions and a powerful scent of sizzling meat. You pass a fridge filled with Mexican coke as you approach the counter. Nice. You're then greeted by a smiling woman. Looking from just under the brim of your cap, you say, "hola." The woman, "hola, senor. Como esta?" You pause. "Gracias." A slight look of confusion dashes across her face. You ask, "what do you have to eat here?" She points at the menu behind her without taking her eyes off of you. You examine the board. "Nice. I'll have that." She says, "sorry, sir, what would you like?" "All of it," you reply. Then you turn and walk briskly to a table, removing your leather trench coat. You hear her say something about payment as you sit. Taking a more measured look around, you see people of all walks of life eating, laughing and enjoying their time here. A child runs by holding a balloon and smiling. Wow. That's pretty cool. They drop something. It's a pork quesadilla with the rice and beans. It even has a nice drizzle of sour cream and salsa. "Don't mind if I do," you think aloud. Biting into it, your tongue almost explodes with flavor. The cheese somehow melts even more onto your pallet. The pork perks up and dances around its own succulence. The grease drips gently down either side of your lips, but you dare not waste any, scooping it back into your wanting mouth. You feel light, like your floating. Could it be? Did this quesadilla give you the ability of flight? No, it's just the ecstasy of flavor. As you swallow the first bite, you return to reality and see 2 women standing next to you. They ask you to leave. Apparently they require payment and also not stealing other people's food. Regardless, everything was worth that one bite. You must find a way to make $9 and return for the entire meal. One day, it...

The tamales: I purchased three veggie tamales and got full after two. The masa was a bit different from what I’m used but it was not bad. I am also used to cheese inside my veggie tamales but everyone makes them different depending on where they’re from so I respect that. They were quite tasty nonetheless. I think the veggie tamales may be vegan, which is why they didn’t have cheese.

The service and place: The service was great, I believe we were helped by the owners, and they were attentive to our needs. The place was super clean.

Other: I purchased an agua de jamaica, and I enjoyed it. It was not too sweet and it had a good, fresh flavor. They also have a cart with condiments to add on your own. On a super weird side note, I have IBS and my stomach did not handle the tamales well. I always take that risk into consideration when going to a new restaurant. What I’ve found so far is that the richer, and fresher the food is, the more likely my...

I came across this place by accident. Every thing is incredibly clean. 2 very friendly young ladies at work here. I bought 6 beef and cheese and 6 chicken tamales. I asked weather they were spicy or not as my wife can't handle anything even the slightest spicy. I was told their tamales are made not spicy at all for people like my wife, if you want yours spicy we have salsa available around the corner. My wife had one of the beef and cheese tamales and said they are very good. I ate a chicken one and yes without salsa of some sort they are bland but still have excellent flavor. I can tell when I put my favorite hot sauce on them, they will be outstanding. I came from California 2 years ago and have bought a lot of home made tamales from a lot of different ladies out of the back of mini vans. These tamales are the...

Ordered from here on uber eats. The item said TacoS no "taco" and had a picture of 2. I added the item to my cart believing I would have 4 tacos total and selected the beef option. When I went to go get them there were only 2 tacos and they were chicken. They fixed them to beef, but then was very rude when I asked where the other two were. I would not have paid $4 for one taco, let alone $8 for 2. I was very dissatisfied and felt like this was false advertisement. If they were going to only give 1 taco when the item is added to the cart once it should not be in plural form and should've been a photo of 1 taco, not 2. Again, the customer service was awful in this regard. I ended up contacting uber and they even refunded me because what I ordered was very misleading and unfair.

Came here because I heard this place was “amazing”…well let me tell you, it’s far from it. Very doubtful I’ll give this place a second chance. I love pozole; especially when it’s made with pork meat. I was fooled into ordering it and I had high aspirations when I ordered it. It was a huge disappointment when it finally came out. It didn’t take long to see that the pork they used in their pozole is pork taco meat…chunky, chewy, and hard. We also ordered a burrito because I heard they were amazing…well that was a disappointment as well. It lacked the traditional taste of chorizo and eggs. More off putting were the RAW potatoes inside that made it unbearable. Had some of their tamales as well and those were okay and the salsas they serve with them are pretty darn tasty.

Definitely something for everyone, and an overall great experience. Gotta hit up the horchata and the pork though. Horchata: 11/10 - absolutely perfect. Flavorful and on the sweeter side. Pork tamale: 10/10 - this is the best one for me. Perfectly flavored, needs no sauce. Chicken tamale + green salsa: 8.5/10 Chicken tamale: 7/10 Bean tamale: 7/10 - I think it’s supposed to have cheese, but I didn’t really notice the flavor in there. Might be better with a stronger cheese flavor. Beef tamale: 5/10 - not for me, but probably good for people who prefer a more mildly flavored tamale. Could use more seasoning, and had the same cheese problem as the bean. Salsa verde: 7/10 - good flavor Salsa roja: 3/10 - just hot for hot’s sake
