Sahara Grill & Cafe — Restaurant in Richmond

I went there with my wife we got mix grill platter and shawarma platter we also ordered a tebolah and houmous it was Horrible,food was not cooked well and it doesn’t even taste like Mediterranean food I actually had the worst experience ever at this restaurant, we didn’t even eat any thing and we just decided to pay and leave this place but the owner came to us and started talking and she wanted to know why didn’t we eat we were nice and said everything is good we just have to go but she wanted to know what happened so bad that’s why my wife explained everything to her in a nice way and told her food is not cooked and stuff but she got so mad and she was so rude she was like you can’t complain about my food and my business, the cashier was nice and she felt so bad for us so she did not wanna charge us for the food I guess but the owner was like no no charge them! I can’t believe the way she treated us just because we didn’t like the food, we are never coming back...

I recently dined at Sahara Cafe and Grill in Richmond, and I can’t praise it enough! We ordered the Lamb Chops, Lamb Kebab, and Lamb Koftaa, and each dish was absolutely delicious. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, offering a wonderful blend of flavors that were both rich and aromatic.

Though it is possible it was a miscommunication between Grub Hub and Sahara Cafe, I am very upset. I ordered food from here around 1:45 am. The app said the restaurant stopped accepting delivery orders at 2:45 as they closed at 3:00. My order was placed and said delivery should be between 3:15 and 3:25. The app still said my order was in the works at 3:25 am so I called the restaurant hoping to speak to someone as I assumed at least someone would still be there but no one answered and I was unable to leave a voicemail even as it was full. I never received my food and had to contact Grub Hub for a refund. I think it’s terrible customer service to even have a voicemail if it’s not available to actually leave a message, and if you’re going to offer delivery until a specific time, even through a second party, you should uphold that delivery. I will probably never even attempt to order from this...
