&pizza — Restaurant in Richmond

Went there for lunch and no customers were there & was pretty much greeted by the whole staff(like 10 of them)! Not sure if that was cool or just plain creepy.

Did not know what to do(how to order). I was politely escorted to the back of the store where apparently you order and was again greeted by an army of staff. I was guided to an overhead TV menu of different types of pizza fixings pizzas. Most confusing at first but, understandable none the less. I opted for the Maverick. A cheese and meat type pizza and also added mushrooms and bacon.

After I placed my order I assumed I needed to walk to the front of the store to pay for it? Yes. I was right. Greeted again, of course. And was asked what I ordered. I told her and paid. I then waited about 10 minutes and was asked to get back in line? Well apparently my pizza was not done yet! I was opted many different types of sauces and extra(FREE) toppings. That was awesome! I got Banana peppers. The pizza is pretty big! Elongated though and very satisfying looking. I took it back to my shop and enjoyed every bite, although it got a little cold toward the end but, thats because there was so much of it! I think pizza lovers well definitely enjoy this new VCU restaurant and I hope to see them flourish!

I ordered two pizzas from their "hits" menu. However, I would not claim for them to be hits at all. The pizzas were not that great where I would order these "hits" again. Furthermore, my pizzas was so greasy at the bottom where the dough was soggy and continuously was breaking apart.

I joined their rewards club where you immediately get the "buy one get one free" which I originally thought was a nice perk. However, upon ordering my final bill was nearly $20 (I ordered no sides or drinks - there was taxes (fine ofc) but then a "servicing charge"). From their menu each pizza is priced @ $12, so by doing the math I didnt really save that much money at all so Im not sure how this is really a good offer with all those additional charges.

In addition, I ordered delivery and my pizzas were delivered approx. 20 minutes later than they originally said - they claimed they had attempted to call me multiple times (no phone calls were received on my phone).

Overall, disappointed with the pizza quality and the overall experience...

These people are really really nice. I usually place my orders for the Reston Virginia location but I was in this area this weekend, found &pizza VCU on YELP, forced me to do my order online, did not see a phone number, is I ordered online, logged into my account at checkout and my order was sent to Reston (since that's my default location when I login) instead of VCU location. Arrived at VCU location to pickup my order, they said that they don't have the order, so I told the young lady that my order must have been sent to Reston, confirmed that Reston sent me text messages, informed lady at VCU, VCU fixed my order, gave me 3 buy one get one gift cards and said that I don't have to pay. They asked me kindly to remember to select the location on the website when ordering. I thought I did but login to my account went to Reston by default. The pizza was amazing, did create your own and they made the pizza in person. Highly recommend! Reston canceled my order and...
