Firehouse Subs Richmond Center — Restaurant in Richmond

Food was decent but staff attitude was terrible during our visit on 9/20/2020 (approx 1pm). We were refused service until we were properly masked, however staff behind the counter had their masks below their noses. (We would have been fine with wearing a mask had the staff been wearing theirs properly as well). Witnessed several members touching their faces with their gloves on then going back to making food, pulling down their masks to talk to others, coming out of the back kitchen without a mask then putting it back on with the same gloves they started making food with again, etc. One man came in and looked at the menu, then walked back out. Staff immediately began talking about him behind his back and saying they didn't want his business anyways. One staff member even made a very rude gesture behind the counter towards him. Another staff member gave a rude wave behind his back. The gentleman then came back in to order. Seems as if he went outside to verify an order with someone else first. Very very poor attitudes from the staff during this shift. Please note: This is not an issue that I have with masking, however it's an issue I have with poor customer service. We...

I arrived at the Richmond Ky location hoping for a pleasant experience. The firehouse theme is evident and my 10yr old definitely enjoyed the experience. Pros: the menu has a nice range of items and a plethora of enticing sandwiches. So we decided on our sandwich and chips and sat down to eat. Cons: I ordered a rueben sandwich and yes it was good but the meat seemed to be lacking in coverage. I ate my first half of my sandwich and moved to the second half only to find that not even 1/4 of the half had meat on it. Listen I know you guys help firefighters but your also in the business of making a sandwich covered with meat and toppings. Ambiance - 10 Taste - 8 Toppings- 2 Satisfaction - 4 Will I return? I probably will give them a second try but with all the other sub shops they compete with they best make sure they make a sandwich that does not run out of meat before the end of the bread. I have been eating at Firehouse Subs since I was Young and I was really excited to know that there was one really close to me. It's the first time I had been able to go to this one and I was kind of disappointed. First the air conditioning didn't work which is whatever cuz I was getting it to go order so I wasn't going to be there long anyway. Then two entire ice machines were completely empty and it took 15 to 20 minutes to get somebody out to refill them. Again that's whatever so I had to wait a few minutes no big deal. One of the larger problems at least in my view was the amount of flies that were flying around the restaurant they may just be an annoyance but to me it feels like the place must be pretty dirty to attract so many flies. And then finally the machines they use to cook their food we're not working correctly so my sub came out kind of dry and Bland. I really hope they improve in the future cuz I really do love...
