I don't know what it is about this Panda Express in Richmond, Kentucky, but it's like its employees don't want to be employed. I just returned from a failed attempt to order Chinese food and here's what went down. Get there and the drive-thru is closed. Closed and it's only 7:40. Sign on the door says drive-thru closes at 9:00/9:30. Hmmmmm.... I won't be deterred though because I'm really craving some orange chicken. Walk in to an absolute sorry excuse for a dining experience. Over half of the entree bowls are sitting completely empty. Those bowls that hold something are holding the equivalent of last week's leftovers that have been forgotten in the back of your fridge. Two people are working the counter. One employee is in line dictating what he wants to eat. I wait in line because the chow mein looks decent and the orange chicken looks edible. I wait my turn. An employee starts dishing ALL of the chow mein into five separate to-go containers. It comes to be my turn in line and I ask for a medium a la carte box of chow mein with the intention of waiting while they whip some up. I am then confronted with a blank stare, a shout to an unknown entity in the back of the restaurant for more chow mein, and a "I'm sorry, we aren't making any more chow mein tonight." I'm sorry, what?! At this point it is 7:42 (and I know that because I got back into my car and noted the time). This restaurant does not close until 9:00 p.m. What do you mean you aren't going to be making any more chow mein? You have one hour and fifteen minutes before this restaurant officially closes. From someone that has worked many years in the restaurant industry, this is just pure laziness--plain and simple. And this isn't the first time this Panda Express has acted in such a way. What a shame and a poor representation of...

Recently I made a 15 minute trip to Panda Express in Richmond from Berea. I approached the drive-thru and was immediately told to wait a couple of minutes. After I placed my order, I proceeded to the window to pay, shortly after the worker told me that the Black pepper chicken needed a minute or two to finish cooking, so she told me to pull around and they would bring it out to me. I wish I would have kept a timer running during my entire experience. So up to this point I’ve waited 6 minutes just to be told to pull around, once I pull around and sit in my car, after an additional 10 minutes(give or take) I realized that they would not come out any time soon, so decided to enter the store. Once I came inside I told one of the workers that I had been sitting outside in the parking lot for 15 minutes waiting on a drive thru order (which is unheard of). Once I brought this up to their attention they then began working on my order.....17 minutes later.... keep in mind that there isn’t anyone apologizing about the lengthy waiting time. I then ask if there’s anyway to get my meal discounted or a future meal discounted, and the employee offered me “a free egg roll”! Long story short, I ended up waiting 20 minutes for a drive thru order, experienced the worst customer service of my life, and the food was average at best. I used to be a loyal Panda fan until running into...

Okay, yes, Panda Express is a fast food Chinese restaurant, so maybe you shouldn't expect much. However, I am comparing this to other Panda Express restaurants that I have been to, and it was terrible both with quality and quantity. It has been some time since I've been to one, so maybe they've all gone downhill. Idk. The noodles were like something out of a top ramen packet, and the fire roasted chicken was little more than nuggets of breading, and the amount given was barely more than a tablespoon and mostly just pineapple. I took the chicken and the pineapple out and laid them side by side on the lid next to my fork so that you could get a good view of just how rediculous the portion was. The honey walnut shrimp was still tasty as I remembered it being, and the portion was good too, but that is probably because you have to pay extra for that entree. I would not recommend you go to this place until they improve.

Nothing EXPRESS about this location. Spent over 35 minutes in drive-thru, I was handed the wrong food-which looked as though it was thrown in the bag and handed to me with the container turned sideways- had to give back my receipt for person to find my order. Finally, I receive my order and the containers are turned sideways, there is food all over the handle of the bag. I get home to find the bowls are 3/4 filled with cold soggy food. This was my second visit. My first visit was inside, the tables were dirty and my family I had limited choices because a food truck had not arrived and the restaurant ran out of food. I've included a picture of the cold, soggy, overcooked egg roll, it's very gross tasting. Also, I had donations charged to my receipt without my permission. I'm okay with giving to charities, but only with my permission and I hope my money makes it to the children's hospital.

I walked in and everything was really clean, including the bathrooms! The employees working there were very friendly! But unfortunately after taking nearly six minutes of waiting for my food at my table, the chow mein was good but a tad cold, and the orange chicken and the honey walnut shrimp almost tasted a tad undercooked. It was during the dinner rush so I don't know if they were rushing cooking the food for us or if it was just an accident, it didn't taste horrible but it was a tad cold and it just seemed a little flimsy and undercooked tasting. I am an avid Panda Express consumer, and this is the first time I've ever had a meal like this. So I would definitely chalk it up to it just being the restaurant or the day. Panda express for life! :)
