Pies and Cakes — Restaurant in Richmond

Oh my! I figured I couldn't go wrong looking for a cake with a name like "Pies and Cakes". Soooo good! I wish I had gotten more! The Peach coffee cake with marscapone icing just melted in my mouth. Such a rich, moist cake. Cherry pie tart was packed with yummy cherries on a rustic crust. And the mocha cake is for later, but I imagine it rocks, too! Great, clean atmosphere; nice staff (owner), and I heard they do a pizza pop up once a month! It was acool idea that surprised me to feature one amazing flavor of each item sold. It was just what my brother and sister wanted for a birthday cake, too. She is rocking the business and this way each week she features the best...

PIES AND CAKES!!!! Absolutely delicious, with a fierce commitment to their customers. We were lucky enough to have Chas create our gorgeous and delicious wedding cake. Not only that, but she prepared 3 tester cakes to enjoy with my family beforehand. I have zero regrets when it comes to my wedding cake-creator choice. I wish I could have recorded the reactions of my guests when they tasted this cake. It was deliciously perfect. Traveled in from the County as I saw on my feed. Greeted right away by owner! Owner so cute and friendly. But the real gem is the pastries! I got the churro cupcake, Choc Chip cookie and berry pie for later. This baker should be in a high end restaurant!! Everything tasted like my grandmother's. Food made daily so everything was warm. VCU students don't miss this. Like me, it's worth drive into the city!!!!...
