Baba's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Riverside

I have partaken of many a fiery fowl in my time, and with no small measure of triumph. Thus, I approached this establishment with a sense of seasoned confidence. I selected the “medium” preparation, which proved to be most piquant—verily, the bird was tender and richly spiced, leaving no doubt as to the chef’s command of heat and flavour.

Alas, the pleasure was short-lived.

Within but a few hours, my constitution began to betray signs of internal tumult—my stomach churned most peculiarly, issuing forth noises not unlike distant thunder. What followed can only be described as a grievous ordeal: two days marked by frequent and urgent excursions to the lavatory, accompanied by an affliction of the bowels so severe, I scarce recall its equal in recent memory.

Though the dish was lively upon the tongue, the price extracted by my person was too great. I must, with considerable regret, advise others to forgo this establishment, unless they possess a constitution of iron and a spirit indifferent to...

I can imagine that this place could actually be very good. It was the busiest place in the food lab when we arrived so I thought I'd give it a try. Really thought I made the right choice when I tried one of the fried pickles before I picked up the sandwich. It was spot on delicious. The sandwich, however, was extremely overcooked. Almost burnt. I got zero taste from the rub. If I had been able to eat the sandwich at the restaurant (couldn't because of coranavirus), I would have returned it. The real disappointment is that someone should have noticed this before making the sandwich. It was almost black. Why would any cook who was half-conscious put this chicken on a sandwich? Very disappointing. Hope they get these kind of kinks out as I see a few other reviews with same kind of problems. Seems like alot of potential. Everything else about the sandwich seemed great. One star given for pickles....

Epic fail. Ok so this being the ONLY hot chicken place close to Moreno Valley, I had to try this place out just to see if I liked it. Oh how I wanted this place to wow me, but was left with disappointed taste buds.

I’m a huge fan of hot chicken and coming from the IE, I have had some pretty good hot chicken. From Dave’s, to Don Fugos, to Chubbys in Fontana. They all have different things I love, but all have 1 thing in common, flavor.

Unfortunately this is where Babs fell short. From the chicken to the fried pickles and ESPECIALLY the house sauce. OMG that house sauce was just nasty on all levels. ZERO flavor, even the ranch sucks. I’m sorry but I have to tell the truth. I see a lot of people like this place but just not for me at all. This was my first time...
