Sorry, 1 star for the worst customer service (did not get his name) Also 1 star for the Taro Crush that does not include sea salt cream.
I've been coming to krak boba (Chicago location in Riverside) ever since a coworker told me about this place. We order as a group in our department every Thursday. We call it Krak Thursday. I went yesterday with my husband, ordered my usual Taro crush. I noticed the worker did not put sea salt cream (as part of the mix). When I told him about this, he said that the owner changed the recipe, that it doesn't come with sea salt cream anymore. I told him that we just ordered Thursday, (2 days ago) and there was sea salt cream. He was saying that some workers are used to putting it and the new menu doesn't say to put it. After going back and forth 4 times, my husband said "lets just go", the worker finally said he'll redo my order. By redoing my order, he peeled the top off, poured my drink into a new cup, poured out some of the liquid to add sea salt. All the boba are all over the place, it look so messy and I said, "I thought you are going to make a new one, now the drink look so unappetizing, we drove 30 minutes to get here on a hot day to get my cravings, can you please just make a new one". ( I was sweating at this point, I can't blelieve he was just going to pour my drink to another cup, and there is no expression on his face). I know help is hard to find these days, but if you wanted to work, at least give the best customer service or at least smile.
Store owner, did you really change the recipe of not including the sea salt cream for the Taro Crush? The sea salt cream is what makes it to the next...
Read moreI’m a regular here. I’m honestly disappointed with the interaction I had with one of the gentlemen yesterday. I asked to have my drink re made because there was too much strawberry purée in my strawberry Matcha boba and also not enough milk.
This young man of possible Indian or Arab descent gave me attitude as if it was not his job to remake it. To be clear, the public pays a lot of money for the drinks. They’re six bucks apiece without add-ons.
If someone comes in and they’re not giving you a hard time and they’re asking you to remake their drink just remake it. Don’t go back-and-forth with the customer, especially when it’s not that serious and the customer is not giving you a hard time.
That individual ended up, not remaking it and a young lady took over and remade it.
I won’t be returning to this location, however, I do suggest some retraining in customer service and also having set proper measurements for the drinks there to avoid situations like this.
It’s pretty clear that everyone there is measuring out differently every time for every drink. This shouldn’t be. The customer should get the same drink every time they order it no matter...
Read moreThis place is so great! So I have to admit I am a little late to the boba trend, but since I have tried it, this place has been my favorite so far. I've had the Mango Snow, Sunset Passion, Dragon Slayer, King Brulee and Cookies & Cream. But without a doubt my favorite is their Sunset Passion. Although the King Brulee is a little too sweet for me, I do like that you can customize your order with less sweetner. A few other boba places we've tried just don't compare and I find myself craving to come back. We always hit up the Riverside location off Chicago and University just out of convenience to our local destinations. The staff is always very friendly. They greet us every time we come in and thank us for the tips we leave. The establishment is a fun little joint and is always clean. I highly recommend and give it two...
