I am very disappointed. I have been ordering from this location for a while now. I usually order for pick up but sometimes dine in. I never had any huge issues other than sometimes the shrimp being a bit overcooked. Last few times I picked up the shrimp bag had no flavor or seasoning. The first time was crazy bc when I was picking up my order a lady was paying & she told me it was her first time there & she felt like it had no flavor. I didn’t think much of it until I drove all the way to Hesperia to my friend’s house & saw how dry & flavorless it tasted. I didn’t want to complain & just figured it was a bad batch. The time after that again it was good with no issues. This last time I picked up & again when I got to Hesperia it had zero seasoning or flavor. I called & spoke to a manager that let me know I can take it back & get it replaced another day since they were closed. I was really upset bc this was our dinner & had we nothing else to eat. We ended up making a sauce & eating them but it was not the same. Manager told me I can email corporate to see if they can do anything. The manager did mention to me that they had change the sauce recipe & if we wanted it thicker we would need to call after placing order. So they know the sauce is thiner & they hardly put anything in there. I was not going to save the shrimp & take it back. Were they going to reimburse me for the gas & now having to buy something else for dinner? It is a huge inconvenience & we were starving. I did email corporate with videos & pictures & they basically told me they couldn’t do anything. I spend basically $80 every time i go there minimum & they refused to make it right. I’m adding pictures & corporates respond. If there sauce was perfectly fine why changed something that...
Read moreA decent attempt at a Cajun-style seafood boil, but lacks the details that really show good quality. First, everything except the potatoes and corn were over-cooked, but that's also not necessarily a good thing and I'll come back to that reason later. Second, the seafood is weighed by pounds, but it feels like a good amount of the weight comes from shells and such. Third, and I think the MOST important, I think the seasoning/sauce was great, but the flavor didn't really get into the food! You can tell because instead of the food tasting like the seasoning all throughout, it feels more like the food just got boiled in water then thrown into the bag with sauce and tossed around before being served. This is probably why the potato and corn were not overcooked, but they also lack the taste of the sauce being absorbed into them and come out when you bite into it, which is what should happen if they were actually boiled with the seasoned sauce.
Now with all of that said, here's the redeeming qualities: Good and fast service, plentiful and cheap seafood. You really get what you pay for! For about $50-$70, a family of four can get a bag of around 5 lbs of tasty seafood and extras and get messy with it. If anyone is complaining about this place not being "real Cajun" or serving the most top quality seafood, well what did you expect? I give this place a 4/5 because in my opinion, the seasoning is great and my family was full and enjoyed everything without...
Read moreWow..where do I begin? Everything was so terrible. The worst has to be the lack of common sense, hospitality and customer service. After putting our name on the list, we were told that their soda machine was down and that they were out of lobster and garlic noodles. We said ok and decided to stay anyway. When our name was called, we were warned that if the child from our group (8 month old)did not stay seated in the high chair, we were going to get charged a service fee. I was confused about this and asked for clarification. The server, who looked bothered that she had to repeat it, said that if she isn't using the high chair, she would count as an adult which would put us as a "large group" and would require a 20% service charge. Again, we said ok and stayed. When it was time to order, someone in our group wanted a clam chowder. The server said "ok awesome, we're out". We moved to the rest of the order and the server was struggling to understand. We simply asked for 4 pounds of shrimp, split into 2 bags (same seasoning for both). He took over 5 minutes to comprehend what we wanted. When the order came out, the server spilled about a cup of the seasoning liquid on the floor, which got on some of our shoes. Took a while for someone to come out and mop the floor and didn't even apologize for the stains on our shoes. Overall, a terrible experience and will not be coming back. There are many other seafood boil places that...
