Crazy but for whatever reason, this Subway forgot they're supposed to be able to make sandwiches. The young man behind the counter started out by letting everyone know they were out of olives, tuna, some of the cheeses, steak, etc.. The list just got longer and longer. The one employee who was making the sandwiches was overwhelmed, doing all the work. One employee just stood in the back. I could see her around the corner, she eventually came out, as the line just kept growing. There was another lady wearing a Tupac shirt with a subway name tag, possibly the manager, who just stayed in the lobby cleaning off tables. Since when did Tupac t-shirts become the uniform of subway employees? If the manager (Tupac t-shirt) or the other person could have helped earlier the line might have been shorter. It was very disappointing and not worth the trouble. I can't recommend anything because everything I attempted to order, they were out of half of the ingredients. I had to leave with no food. Read moreI want to give a huge shoutout to James for going above & beyond during our visit this past Sunday (6/29)! From the moment we walked in, he greeted us with a friendly attitude & made us feel welcomed. It was clear he takes pride in his work. The store was clean, the produce was fresh & well-stocked, & he put genuine care into making our sandwiches just the way we like them (my boyfriend even added extra toppings he doesn’t usually order simply because it “looked good!”)
James was not only generous with portions, but also kind, attentive, & incredibly hard-working. My boyfriend & I left feeling more than satisfied — both with our food & with the experience chatting with James. Employees like him don’t come around often. Read moreI visited the Subway location at [Roanoke] on [31 Dec 2025] and experienced appalling customer service. When I politely asked the staff member to change her gloves before making my sandwich, she became rude, arrogant, and started making faces. When I expressed my discomfort and declined her service, she refused to let anyone else serve me and asked me to leave the store without reason. This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. I request a formal apology and assurance that the staff will undergo training to provide respectful and professional service.
