If you’re ever feeling too good about yourself and need a quick ego check, come here. The service was so bad, I started to question if I had accidentally walked into a dystopian roleplay restaurant where the theme is “treat the customers like absolute garbage.”
From the moment we sat down, we were stereotyped into oblivion—as if the only beverage we could possibly comprehend was room temperature disappointment. When I politely asked for colder water (you know, the basic human kind), our waitress hit me with a death glare so intense I briefly considered calling an exorcist.
And the chips? My God. Those fossils were so stale they crunched back. I didn’t know whether to eat them or submit them to the Smithsonian. I asked if they could be replaced, and she replied—with the kind of sarcasm that could curdle milk—that the next batch would taste just as bad. Then she doubled down and brought back the same chips, possibly reheated with the heat of her contempt.
Throughout the entire meal, we were treated like we owed them money and had just shown up to renegotiate the terms. The service wasn’t slow; it was nonexistent. If I wanted to be this ignored, I’d text my situationship again.
The food and portions? Annoyingly good. But not good enough to deal with staff so devoid of warmth and humanity I started wondering if they were part of a sociological experiment on customer tolerance.
In summary: If you like being disrespected with flavor, dine in. If you value your dignity, get takeout. Actually, don’t. Just make your own version at home and scowl at yourself while eating for the full experience.
UPDATE
Ok I went again today the service was great, food amazing with great portions. But the chips were still really stale which left me with 4 stars...
Read moreI started going here about 3 months ago. The first time I ordered carry-out from here, I ordered red curry over the phone. I asked if the item could be made vegan and I was told it could be, so I ordered it. On a different occasion, I dined in at the restaurant with my wife and I ordered vegan red curry. However, the server told me the item could not be made vegan. I was thrown off by this, but didn’t argue too much because I just assumed whoever took my order over the phone the first time was not aware of what vegan actually meant. Fast forward 2-3 months and I ordered fried rice over the phone (hot spicy level). I’ve ordered the same thing about 10-15 times in the past and it’s usually decent. This time however, they made it as mild as could be. Typically hot fried rice will have a reddish color to it from the spice. This was just plain white rice with like no flavor though. They also forgot my spring rolls and I had to remind them before I left to add them to my bag. I didn’t discover how bland the rice was until I got home. I called for a refund, but they refused to process one unless I drive all the way back to the restaurant. I have never heard of anything like this to process a refund when the food is just flat out bad. it’s about a 15 mile round trip for me, so I told them I was not willing to do that. I also pointed out that I am a regular customer. I was basically told too bad and they still refused to refund me. Great job at turning away a regular customer. Good thing there are about 5 other good Thai restaurants in the area. I attached a picture of the plain white fried rice to show how not flavorful and not spicy it is even thought I...

I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and everything was spot-on. We started with the green apple salad—super crisp, tangy, and perfectly balanced with toasted cashews, fried garlic, and red onion. Light, refreshing, and full of texture!
Next up was the chicken panang curry, which came out piping hot with tender chicken, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and a rich, creamy red curry sauce. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming—just the right level of spice.
Of course, I had to get the classic Pad Thai, and it did not disappoint. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the dish came loaded with chicken, egg, scallions, bean sprouts, and crushed peanuts. That squeeze of lemon added the perfect finishing touch.
To top it off, the service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant had a clean, modern vibe. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, like it was made with care. Even the owner came over to check on us and made sure everything was perfect!
Bangkok Cuisine is a must-try for Thai food lovers in the Rochester area. Delicious food, great portions, fair prices, and authentic Thai taste all the way through. Can’t wait...
