Burgers hold a special place in my heart, and none are more special than this one. They always come out piping hot and fresh and entirely custom made to order. They have a huge selection of toppings to build your own, which is great for adventurous people to try something new every time or for picky people to get exactly what they want with no eye rolls. Every week, they have two specialty burgers that they post on their Facebook on Monday, like a spicy PB&J burger, a poutine burger, a mac and cheese burger, a chorizo burger, and so much more beyond your wildest imagination! They have so many side options to pick from, and they are all delicious! I personally love their waffle fries, and I have friends who have threatened violence over sharing their mushrooms and onion rings. And their combo deal is fantastic!

Truly, just give up on all other burger places, because on top of incredible food, the service is unparalleled. We always see Lisa, one of the owners, and she is sincerely one of the kindest, warmest souls I have ever met! Her genuine passion about her restaurant and about her customers is a ray of sunshine that always brightens our days! I always love supporting small businesses, but I've never felt like a small business cares about me like this one does. You come in and you are family, you are friends, you are home. You will never receive this friendly reception at any other burger place, or really any business at all, so leave behind your Burger Kings, your Five Guys, your 15th and Chris, your Beefaroos, all of those. You will not regret it!

Plus, there's a foosball table, and who doesn't love getting a lil overly competitive after a good meal? Nothing tops off a stellar burger like the sweet taste of victory!

My sister recommended Buddy’s Burgers so we went. We were told the wait was 30 minutes and we said that was fine. It ended up being around 50-55 minutes but they were slammed both for dine in and carry-out. The girls working were working their butts off. One was running food to tables, the other was working the register for a long line of customers, and I saw BOTH running orders out to cars on top of that. When we got our food, it was hot and freshly made. The kids even had to wait for theirs to cool down. My order was made exactly how I asked. Tasted great. While we were finishing up, there was a man that angrily and rudely complained about his food and how long he had to wait. It was unnecessary since it was obvious the staff was doing everything they could. The girls working handled that situation very well too. They were level headed with the man even though they were probably half his age or younger. After that they remained polite with the rest of the customers even though the man clearly had upset them, and they kept working hard. I was more impressed with them than with the food, which like I said, was great. Driving thru Rockford back to California I needed lunch and wanted to try a local joint instead of a chain restaurant. Thank goodness I saw Buddy’s Burgers online so I stopped here. Had the single burger with sweet potato fries and soda. Best fries I’ve ever had! Super crispy just like I like them. Burger was delicious . You can choose from a large variety of toppings. I got bbq sauce, sweet peppers, mushrooms, bacon on a pretzel bun. After stuffing myself I had to try the deep fried apple pie. They take apple slices, coat in batter, deep fry, dip in cinnamon and sugar, add two scoops of vanilla ice cream and top with caramel sauce. I loved it! The service was great, super friendly midwestern hospitality which this Californian loves to experience. The place has cool Chicago sports memorabilia vibe....
