Update to reply to the business, it would have been more appropriate and respectful as it is your guys private property to speak to me and I would have had absolutely no problem leaving. Say what you want and feel how you want but acting aggressively toward someone and glaring them down when yall could have opened your mouths and communicated would have been way more respectful and appropriate. I’m not one to ever be aggressive towards people like yall were towards me, I’m very reasonable and respectful myself and would have had no issue being told what you said in the comment. Instead of someone trying to run me over and being passive aggressive. I mentioned in my original comment that I can take accountability on my part but yall were definitely still wrong to react the way yall did. Theirs tons of reviews I’ve seen mentioning this same woman being aggressive and discriminatory towards customers so I’m definitely not worried about me being the issue. You guys be blessed though and I hope your businesses continue to thrive and whatever other personal endeavors you pursue in life.
To call the area dark when theirs literally lights lined up all throughout the parking lot because theirs a hotel right next door and multiple other restaurants one being Gerry’s Pizza that was still open at the time is quite insane, you guys can lie and try to play it however you want, but me and you both know yall were completely wrong. Simple solution for a simple problem would have once again been what you guys said you would have been within your rights to do as it is private property but instead you chose to be aggressive and passive aggressive, like I said I’m not worried about how you guys feel because of how you chose to handle a situation that could have been handled differently. Asking me what would have been the appropriate way for staff or management to handle it when you already mentioned two other options you could have done but chose not too is a you problem and not me. And I’ll say it again, I will never be worried about this because I’ve already stated taking accountability from the initial review and seeing that theirs other reviews mentioning this same aggressive and passive aggressive woman to customers during regular business hours falls back on you guys and shows it’s just who you are as an individual or maybe even as a whole staff in its entirely.
Ran into the owners off the clock as I am residing at a hotel in the area, I was seated at a nearby smoking area after hours of the restaurant. Two of the owners, managers male and female both pulled up aggressively, one shining his high beams in my face while pulling up and her pulling up directly in front of me extremely fast and I had my leg out to the point where I had to pull it back fast cause it almost seemed as if she was trying to run me over. She had a Benz light that illuminated from her car onto the parking lot and as she was getting out I was complimenting her on it. She gave me the most vile dirtiest look possible and shortly after I walked back to my hotel. The sad part about it is, I’ve dined in here plenty of times, got takeout plenty’s of times, door dashed plenty of times, introduced people to this place and this was my only fave sushi place in Rockford but after this encounter I will no longer be giving them my money or service. I can take accountability that maybe the smoking area was off limits but I assumed since it was after hours their was nothing wrong with me sitting at the tables in the back of the restaurant...
Read more🟢Before I start this review, I want to be fair based on history. I usually get the steak and rice from here, and it is fire🔥. The wife gets sushi from here at lunchtime, and she loves it♥️. I've never had a bad experience in this place, but my last experience will probably be my final. I would say on any normal day they are good to go but not this day👎🏾.
Story loading. . . Messed around and tried to satisfy the wife with sushi on Valentines Day ❤️. The biggest mistake of my life 😔. I called 📱 and was asked to place my order online because they weren't taking phone orders. I placed my order online, and it said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I'm not crazy I know that 15 minutes was a stretch, but I figured 30 minutes would be acceptable🤓.
🙅🏾♂️Boy, was I wrong! My wife sid she would go in and grab the sushi 🍣 and come right back out. ⏰️20 minutes passed, and she called me, saying they needed ⏰️30 more minutes.
Then she called again while we're waiting to go and said they needed another ⏰️30 minutes.
I called to tell them I needed a refund because it's been so long that we're going to miss the Marlon Wayans comedy show. They told me dine, but my wife was starving for Hachi's sushi 😡. So, I called back and asked if it could be done in ⏰️15 minutes. They said yes, it could be.
⏰️20 minutes later, it came out. 2+ hours waiting on some sushi we could have got from Woodman's 🍎.
On top of that, we didn't get a discount, a coupon, or an addon for this long, terrible wait! WTH!🤷🏽♂️
Long story for 3 points: ☝🏾The sushi wasn't worth $80 when the fried sushi was stale after the wait🤢. ✌🏾The disregard for people's time was mindblowing 🤯. 👌🏾This is not your first Valentines Day as a new business, so there is 🚫no excuse for a 2+ hour wait on sushi ⏳️!
Please do better and don't make your patrons feel like their time is...
Read moreHaving frequented the Loves Park location for years, we recently moved closer to this location and decided to give it a try. We were eager to see how it compared, especially since both locations carry many of the same menu items. I must say, the experience at this location has been outstanding, with notable differences in portion sizes and presentation that deserve praise.
First and foremost, the freshness of the sushi here is impeccable. One standout dish that we were thrilled to find just as delightful here are the veggie noodles. The portion sizes are incredibly generous. The vegetables are vibrant and plentiful, adding both color and a delightful texture to the dish. It’s clear that the ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Presentation is another area where this location shines. Each dish arrives at the table looking like a work of art. This attention to detail and the comfortable dining atmosphere makes the dining experience feel special and elevated, much more so than what we were accustomed to at the Loves Park location.
Overall, this new location has surpassed our expectations. The consistency in the quality of food is commendable, yet the larger portions and enhanced presentation set it apart. Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast or a lover of veggie dishes, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. We’re thrilled to have such a fantastic spot closer to our new home and look forward to many more visits. Recommend 5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
