MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Rockwall

My family and I love MOD pizza although this is one of the worst locations I’ve ever been to. The food line is extremely dirty and their staff just seems to be very careless and unhygienic. First of all, the girl helping us didn’t change her gloves (not even once) although she was touching everything around her. I ordered a cesar salad and the lettuce was brown. (She could’ve remove some of the uglier pieces). Then added the dressing in a small container which already contained other food crumbs inside. Didn’t care about removing them and poured the dressing in it. She also put that same container inside the salad. It really doesn’t take any effort to check on those small details. Specially if there was nobody else ordering but me. The salad looked pretty gross so I just ended up not buying it. I get it, it’s a restaurant. All restaurants are gonna be dirty to some extent but c’mon.. I’m like right in front of you. I also ordered a pizza and again, she kept rushing me even though there was absolutely nobody else waiting. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this...

Not vegetarian / vegan friendly. I decided to give this a try since they do have many options including plant based sausage. Going through the line I noticed that the people making the pizzas start with the sauce, cheese, meat and then vegetables. They DO NOT change gloves after the meat before the vegetables. So practically they are sticking their gloves that already have meat on them into vegetables, cross contaminating all the vegetables. Lastly, they cut the pizzas with the same pizza cutter. I stopped the person immediately from cutting my pizza as they had just cut pizzas with meat right before. The person making my pizza had clean gloves for my order so I just avoided vegetables. I did give 3 stars since the pizza was good and so is the concept but unfortunately I won’t go back unless they get individual spoons or change gloves before...

Let’s talk about Junior. He was what made the experience great, from the acceptance of the request for my pizza to the warm interaction we had. It was great. I witnessed a picture of my pizza being taken. Obviously consumption and product use was the managers purgatory., but Junior and his co-worker.( Sweet lady) still made the steps happen to meeting a customers needs & in turn keeping my buinsess. Sure the economy is struggling and cheese is high. But customer service and reputation is what sticks in people’s minds above all else. 10/10 for the employees & 6/10 for management. Here’s a note: treat customers and employees the same. Treat them like people. Not pictures to be made an example of in “upcoming meetings”. I hope this message...
