A man named Patrick Snuffer opened his first Snuffers in Dallas in 1978. Mr. Snuffer has sadly passed away a few years back, and it's hard not to wander what he would think of how the company is being run today. I think he would be terribly disappointed and dissatisfied if he knew about my most recent experience. Their fries are very iconic, never frozen, and well seasoned, or at least, they should be. My fries had hardly any seasoning, were over cooked, slightly burned, and most of the individual fries were 1 inch long or shorter! This makes them hard to eat without being messy if you have ketchup, ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, or some other condiment. I asked our very young and immature server, "Sir, take a look at this and tell me what's wrong with these fries." He said, "They look alright to me." I said, "having most of the fries 1 inch long and shorter is alright? Get me another order, and be sure they are not burned, not too short and seasoned properly." I paid lots of hard earned money to come here, and I expect everything to be the best it can be. When my server (if you can call him that) came back with a replacement basket of fries, THEY WERE JUST AS BAD. (SEE THE ATTATCHED PICTURE.) I did not complain right on the spot since my best friend was with me and he paid the bill to treat me as his friend. Now that I am past that stage, it's time to let readers know about my experience there. I WILL GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO FIND OUT WHO IS THE OWNER OR DISTRICT AREA SUPERVISOR, AND HEADS WILL BE ROLLING ONCE THOSE IN THE CORPORATE OFFICE...
Read moreI mentioned this upon leaving after the meal yesterday, but they really need to keep their menu displayed here up-to date.
I’m at the Hampton Inn next door. I checked their menu on this site on Google maps yesterday, which was posted just a month ago. I was really looking forward to a chicken-fried stake last night while I’m still in Texas until early Saturday morning. The meal was even included in the photo gallery, as it still is now, with sides included.
Well, when I got there, I discovered that menu no longer exists, and the offerings are mostly hamburgers and sandwiches.
So, O.K. Under “hamburgers,” I ordered a patty-melt w/cheese. Sides were now a-la-carte, and I ordered a house salad and onion rings.
The patty-melt came on toasted bread. It was so “oiley” that the bread fell apart in my hands. A nice side of onion rings, but the batter fell off just by picking them up. It all got messy. The tossed salad was great.
So, I came in for an advertised chicken fried steak, sides and a beer.
I wound up with a hamburger on bread, two a-la-carte sides and a beer for $34.23, tip included. (The server was fine, by the way. Not his problem.)
So, as a courtesy, management really should consider keeping their Google Maps site current. That would be very helpful, especially for those in a major...
Read moreWaited 35 minutes before the manager with glasses told us they were out of my food order. I asked why it took so long to notify me and his reply was “we are out of hot dogs.” No apology or anything. The waiter brought our drinks and never came back until we asked for the check. We had to motion for a refill and we waited for 10 minutes before we decided to ask a waitress to give him out card and check. The man from the live music they hired blatantly disrespected my father, who took him his water after being asked, by embarrassing through complete disregard on wether he wanted the straw or not. My father stood there asking if he wanted the straw only for the duo member to low him off by playing the next song. The waitress who took our card also hesitated greatly when we asked for her. Also the waiter rolled his eyes when he brought our refill when I asked no ice for my father as he had a sore throat. Had he approached us to check how our food was, he wouldn’t have had to make a second trip.
I will never eat here again. I worked as a server at Gloria’s and have decent knowledge of employee etiquette as well as customer interaction. No communication was relayed to us as to wether they were understaffed or anything. ...
