The absolute worst service. This is the only time I have ever walked out of a restaurant, and we’ve been here before so I didn’t even have unreasonable standards. I don’t go out of my way to leave bad reviews, but this one deserves it. My husband and I got there Tuesday night at 6. There were two other parties seated, one leaving, and one at the bar. The host didn’t say two words to us and gestured for us to anywhere around the bar. The bartender was our “server” we sat there for 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. She said she wanted to finish her “guests’” table first which made me feel like they were friends (unprofessional). She sent another server to get us started. I tried to order three different drinks and she was rude about telling me that she didn’t have any of them (the issue being her rudeness). We went ahead and placed our food order with our fill in waitress at the same time as our drinks. We sat another several minutes (still with no water being brought to us) when the bar tender came over and said that she wasn’t given our food ticket and asked us to repeat it for her. Our menus were already taken from us and even so, that was so unprofessional. We gave our order, we had been there close to half an hour. There was no apology, no smile, nothing. That’s a great way to lose business. So as soon as she walked away we left. I recommend whoever is in charge here to really look at their staff because it was beyond unacceptable. Read moreFigured we couldn’t go wrong with curbside in trying to avoid the typical bad service you experience around here. Boy was that a mistake! Placed the order online, it says the order will be ready in 15 minutes, we gave them 20 to help ensure it was ready. Park and wait...and wait...and wait. Waited 20 minutes to be exact. Two cars pulled up after us and guess what, those two cars get waited on before us. FINALLY the food is brought to the car by the most undelightful server possible. We head home, take the food out and you guessed it, one of the orders was messed up! I ordered one of the easiest meals on the menu, the Southwestern Steak Salad. The salad comes with four things on it and two of them were missing (salad dressing and the black bean corn salsa). My husband calls and they said they would mail meal vouchers to us. He asked them to remake the salad and he would come back. The manager assured us it would be ready when we got there. You guessed it, wrong again! And once again we gave them extra time. But nope, pull up and wait another 10 minutes or more. They bring the salad out so of course I check it this time. The steak is so over cooked that it’s hard as a rock. They did remember the dressing and I got a whole 3 beans and 5 kernels of corn in my so called black bean corn salsa. There was even one tiny microscopic piece of tomato. Read moreWhat is going on with Applebee's? Less than half full of customers, minimal staff, was told, will be with you in a minute, then that employee Left the viewing area for at least 15 minutes. At that point it's one person on the floor working and shouting we are short staffed and are doing the best we can, another employee on the floor interacting with customers on the side so maybe they were on break and hanging out with family?? After about 15 minutes the employee that left the floor reappears only to allow us and other customers that came in after us to watch her take several drinks of her soda on the service floor before disappearing again. At this point I'm seeing customers service isn't being prioritized and feel that Applebee's profits are going to decline if they don't get management involved and make some changes. It was clear with all the vacant seats the standings customers could have at least been seated at this point to accommodate the incoming customers but they were totally disregarded and it felt as if the employees were waiting and hoping we would leave to maybe have less customers to wait on. It was a special occasion for my wife and I but it turned out to be the saddest and most regrettable experience I've ever had at Applebee's. What has happened with customer service?
