Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Roseville

Wow! Terrible service here!! Ok my wife and I pull into the Peets Coffee drive through at 4180 Thrive Dr. STE 100, Roseville, CA at about 12:15 pm today Sunday 6/4. We order a small latte. We were going to get a pound of the Peets ground coffee but it was about $18.00. Cancel that! Ok, Latte only. And we wait a long time for the fellow citizens ahead of us to get their orders and go. Today we got stuck behind the customer that is extremely specific in their order for herself and her kids. Again..be patient, this is a special event for the family. No problem. Then.. we wait and wait. I don’t think the customer in front of us was at fault either for the initial wait. Finally, this customer gets to the window, gets her order and is veerrrrry careful to check for accuracy. More waiting. Lo an Behold there’s a problem! After checking her order, the customer in front of us now has to get the attention of the server that apparently handed her the wrong drink and who is now busy with something else. More waiting…. as the service window is now closed and the customer now tries waiving to get the attention of the worker who handed her the wrong drink. More waiting by the way. Finally the window opens back up and the customer has the chance to explain in detail (more waiting) how she was given the wrong drink! Good thing she checked 😊. While we watched all this from our car just behind her (more waiting…) I know that I heard the worker say Latte as I watched the customer hand back a small drink to the worker. Hey wait! A small latte just like the one my wife ordered so many minutes ago just took a ride through this lady’s car, probably through her kids paws and maybe even had a sample taste taken before being handed back to the worker. (More waiting) After finally getting the order correctly processed and handed over to the customer, we finally were able to pull up to the window for our “small latte” Yes, you can be sure that I was not going be taking the newly used Latte that already took a whirl wind tour through the car in front of me only to be placed back on the store counter waiting for our arrival! Oh no! At this point, we had waited well over ten minutes. And now finally we were up to the window awaiting our Latte confrontation with the worker. We looked up at her, but she didn’t acknowledge my glance. I was all ready to state my case…but then more non-acknowledgement. More waiting…There we were in the car looking up occasionally at the worker who was now busy talking to another worker, still not acknowledging us at her window. That’s it! We drove off, NEVER to be back! You can keep your used latte and you probably served it to someone else anyway. Sorry to give Peets a such a horrible and detailed review but maybe you should train and manage your workers better. Advice to the wise..avoid this Peet’s store on Sunday...

On 04.29.23 we were waiting for our drinks at drive thru for more than 20 minutes, although there was only one car in front of us. When we drove up to the window where the order was issued, we saw that our drinks were already standing by the window and cooling down, and the worker continued to prepare sandwiches for the customers who were behind us. All this time our drinks were getting cold. When she deigned to open the window so that we paid for the order, we asked - why is it taking so long? To which she, without apologizing for the wait, stated that she actually had other clients on the line. Drinks were given to us cold, the mood was spoiled. I’m normally a Starbucks girl but this Peet’s is closer to my house and makes for a convenient pick me up drink!😀 The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I order my teas with extra-extra sweetener so they taste more like Starbucks, else they are quiet unsweet and flavorless. A nice perk about this location is it is close to a bike trail with a little nature preserve. Perfect little trail to walk while you enjoy your coffee/tea. Docking one star because this location has the slowest drive thru ever, so make sure you order ahead on the app and give the baristas a little extra time to make your drink! This store is also a relatively new location so it’s very possible the staff is new and still getting the hang of making...
