It was a very busy morning, on Veterans Day, and I know many restaurants are experiencing staffing shortages but two things really bothered me. First, an elderly man, wearing a WWII hat, held the door open for a young family and the manager took the name of the family and just completely ignored the Veteran, who was alone. After 5 minutes, we were seated and we then told the manager the Veteran had not been helped yet. Second, the staff were constantly bickering with one another, especially between wait staff and cooks. I know busy times can bring out the worst in any of us but attitude is everything and attitudes here stink. While there was a clear brand standard, with the food being very consistent in portion size, quality, and taste, we had to ask for many things the server forgot. We ordered pancakes but had to ask for syrup, ordered fruit and it was not on the tray and we had to ask for it, and ordered biscuits and gravy and were served the gravy without the biscuits. We did ask for them and the cooks argued with the server over it and they ended up microwaving them. Microwaved biscuits are gummy and disgusting. The bathroom had a long piece of toilet paper, with poo all over it, laying right in the middle of the floor. Our server did refill our coffees frequently, although it was almost the worst coffee I've ever had. I love a good Denny's restaurant but I will never return to this one.

I love Dennys but I truly hate this location with a passion. On a good day you can place a to go order and it’s done correctly in 15-20 min. But on bad days (which happen more and more often) it took me 15 min to get someone to answer the phone. I was put on hold for 6min. And then again for 4. (Not including the time spent with the phone ringing) this is not the first time this has happened. Sometimes they’re busy I get it but its a Monday afternoon. I walked in to pickup and the entire restaurant was empty save for a 2 top. Not busy at all. Absolutely no reason to ignore 3 different phone calls trying to place a to go order. I had a very simple order. One part being hash browns. I ask for them to be crispy, a simple request. Does this look crispy to you? It’s practically raw potatoes!!! I’m so done with this location but sadly there are not many others in the area. Again this is not the first time this has happened, it’s the first time I’m writing a review about all this BS! I love Dennys but can’t deal with how unreliable this location is. Go on a good day and they answer the phone in a timely manner and get the order correct but go on a bad day…. Beware they give no shits.

A surprisingly SATISFACTORY BREAKFAST for a diner chain. +++ This place claims categorically that it is as an “independently owned and managed” franchise, which is a good thing. —SUGGESTION TO OWNER::: It would be good for this independent franchise to perhaps create its own breakfast, different from the chain. BREAKFAST listings are familiar, very American as only we (Americans) 😎😎😎 can make. The BREAKFAST SECTION is a tad large but manageable. It’s pictorial. 😊😊😊 The Omelettes are quite good. Cooked well, seasoned appropriately. NOT the greasy kind. Large portions 🫤 I am not however a fan of the side hash browns and white toast. 🫤 There’s the better alternative wheat multigrain toast…Ordered dry but is came buttered….the replacement never arrived. 🫤 There’s a fruit bowl but it turns out to be the very high sugar fruits (grapes, melons, pineapple)…REQUESTED berries only, but was told not possible. 😡😡😡 Coffee tastes burnt. Service staff needs to be bit more cheerful rather than long-faced. The place has a diner vibe, BUT lighted dull/dim despite glass walls on three sides.

Outstanding Experience at Denny's on McKnight Road! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the moment we walked in, it was evident that this Denny's location is a cut above the rest. Despite being a large group of nearly 20 people (19 in total), the staff welcomed us with open arms and unparalleled patience. Our waitress, Olivia, who was just two days into her role, showcased exceptional professionalism and grace. Her patience, understanding, and kindness towards our group were commendable. It's rare to find such dedication in someone so new to the job!

Olivia's attention to detail, her genuine care for our needs, and her infectious smile made us feel not just as customers, but as valued guests. Handling a group of nearly 20 people with such grace and efficiency is no small feat, yet Olivia made it seem effortless. Every request was met with a nod and a smile, every question answered with patience and knowledge.

It's not just her impeccable service that deserves commendation, but also her ability to connect with us on a personal level. She made us feel at home, turning our dinner into a delightful gathering of friends. Her positive energy radiated throughout the evening, setting the tone for a memorable night.

While the food was exceptional and the ambiance inviting, it was Olivia's outstanding service that truly made our evening special. She is a testament to what Denny's stands for - exceptional service, warmth, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

The manager on duty deserves special mention for her patience and accommodating nature. Managing a group as large as ours is no easy feat, but she did it with a smile, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of perfect.

From the moment our dishes were placed in front of us, it was evident that the cook at Denny's on McKnight Road is truly a master of their craft. Each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, reflecting the skill and passion that went into its creation.

The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and every bite was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chef. It's not just about cooking; it's about creating an experience, and the chef at this Denny's location did just that. The dishes were cooked to perfection, with every element complementing the other, creating a symphony of flavors in our mouths.

A shoutout to Tony, the busboy/dishwasher, who was the unsung hero of the evening. His politeness, patience, and kindness did not go unnoticed. It's the little things that make a difference, and Tony's efforts added to the overall positive vibe of the evening.

The food was delectable, living up to the high standards that Denny's is known for. But what truly set this visit apart was the people. From the front of the house to the back, every staff member we interacted with was a testament to what excellent customer service looks like.

We lingered until midnight, and not once did we feel rushed or unwelcome. The team at Denny's on McKnight Road went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening.

In summary, if you're looking for great food coupled with an even better dining experience, Denny's on McKnight Road is the place to be. Kudos to the entire team for making our visit a five-star experience. I felt as though we were being served in a Godly way and this is what will draw me back to this fine establishment. We'll definitely be back! Blessings to you all in...

I will not give any stars as we did not get any food, the atmosphere was not very welcoming, and service was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. My fiancée and I went to this location last night to eat dinner together before he had to be at work at 8. We got there around 6:30. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated; we were seen, the restaurant was not full at all, but everyone was running around like we weren't there. Never acknowledged until someone finally sat us. We sat in a booth right next to the kitchen. We could hear everyone's conversations in the kitchen. Our server Drew was very nice and respectful and took our drink and food order. Let me repeat the restaurant was NOT even half full. Drew came to us a couple of times asking how we were doing with just our drinks. We don't have any food and my fiancee and I are growing impatient waiting; we thought it ridiculous to ask us how it was going when we just had drinks. The kitchen was coached by Drew and another server making sure orders were correct and people around us were being served; a table next to us ordered a lot of food and granted they were there before we were and that much food takes time. After waiting 30 minutes we figured we were next as the two ladies and two little girls that came in after we had been waiting 30 minutes were the only ones along with us, with no food. We heard Drew tell the kitchen to put extra queso on the nachos order, which I requested and I heard them talking about putting my bbq boneless wings on. My boyfriend ordered the grand slam or something like that. This other waiter puts all this food on his tray and walks it to the table with the women and two kids and on that tray was our order. I get it--we could have ordered the same things, but my fiancee and I had been waiting and they came in AFTER we did. Drew came to us shortly after and apologized and said that our order got mixed up/lost and the food was being made and would be out shortly. We waited a few more minutes but got up and left. First off, don't lie to me about our order. I don't know what happened but this was the most rude and horrible customer service experience. Kitchen and staff need to be trained on what they talk about at work and how unprofessional it is to question customer's orders or poke fun or discuss paying other coworkers to do their sidework so they can leave early. Remember we sat right next to the kitchen and could hear everything and with how loud they were talking the whole diner could probably catch snippets. This restaurant always closes early and never really has a professional manager on site. Idk if they even had one there last night. Seemed like a bunch of high school/college student age people minus the one server who was middle aged probably that gave our food to the wrong table. But yeah. Do better Denny's. Your food and portions have been better than Eat n' Park but after this we won't be coming back for...

I have been a loyal customer at the Denny’s on McKnight Road for over twelve years. The breakfast and lunch is excellent there. I know the waiters and waitresses there, and they know my children. The one waitress Kim has been there forever and has known me since before I was married and now that I have children. She is like part of the family. She is the best person you have working there.

My wife and I are not complainers, but we had a horrible experience at your restaurant for dinner on November 2, 2014. Since my daughter is now two (and we have a son who is going on five), we have been wanting to go out to dinner more together. They are both good children in a restaurant. I urged my wife to go to Denny’s because I love it there so much for breakfast and lunch. We went there around 5, and it was like a completely different restaurant than what I am used to. The waiter, whose name I never got, never really greeted us. He was hurt and limping, and when he came to our table all he did was grunt like he was ready to double over in pain. My wife invited him to sit in our booth which he did. He actually scared my daughter with all the noises he made. We waited 40 minutes for our appetizer, mozzarella sticks, and then our food finally did come up, but it sat for 15 minutes while our waiter just stood. If he was actually hurt, he should not be working.

I have been to Dennys at breakfast with all of the seats filled and lines to get in, and I get my meal in 15 minutes. There were hardly any customers and it still took longer. I now know why. We finally got up and went to Wendys next door for dinner. The manager was very nice, and she packaged up our food and gave it to us for free. (I was still missing my side of cole slaw). The manager basically blamed it on the waiter, but it was just bad experience.

I will never go to Dennys after 3pm again. It also makes me want to take a break from going to Dennys at all. I have been going there for breakfast or lunch twice a month for years now. Again, I have never had a bad experience there ever, and my wife and I are not complainers. It has to be pretty bad for us to complain, and it was. I really don’t want this to happen to other customers because I am a big fan of Dennys. It is unfortunate they all of the best employees and servers are in the morning and...
