I am Indian and I've been to tons of Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, this place is not the best experience for their overpriced food. WARNING: Do not arrive at 8:30pm to dine-in because you won't get the best service nor the best food served. We were told the kitchen closes at 8:45pm so we thought this would be sufficient time to enjoy the food. I knew what to order. We received our food in 5-10minutes! That was quite fast for three main entrees with rice and garlic naan. It turned out the food was NOT freshly hot. Also, one dish appeared and tasted no flavor despite it was supposed to medium spicy. My friend and I ordered Saag Paneer (Spinach Cheese Cubes) was somewhat warm and had a somewhat shiny appearance which is unusual for spinach Indian dish. We also ordered Vegetables Hakka Noodles medium spicy. My friend never had it before and her first thoughts, that it appeared like noodles dry and plain were quickly mixed with some cooked veggies. I believe they forgot to make it medium spicy and didn't add any flavor. Third entree was Khadai Vegetables, mixed vegetables. This was delicious, good balance flavors, somewhat hot, and plenty of vegetables . This was by far the best. The delicious garlic naan was almost perfectly done. The rice was somewhat under cooked. Our waiter never smiled the entire time including the other waiter staff that brought out the food. At 9:15, waiter warned restaurant closes at 9:30pm. Waiter came back 5minutes later ready to take our plates away. I said I hadn't finished eating. He came back with to-go containers. the other waiter was hovering by and startled me as I got up. He took the dishes away at near 9:30pm and immediately locked doors, lights off and all staff left immediately. I've never ever experienced that kind of service where they tactfully hinted without speaking to leave the restaurant. We left with a bad taste in our mouths with...
Β Β Β Read moreI hate to write this review as we previously liked this place and been to buffet and did take out yesterday was very good . Today I order 3 different orders and was very upset and return 2/3 back and after receiving new food nothing changed and owner said that this is good food but admitted his cook was off today... The food was no near like the one we had yesterday and had more of a Chinese taste than Indian but something off about it , 3 same people who enjoyed food day before absolutely agreed was not good . Just the lesson to the owner , when we drive hungry spending 53$ for 1/2 containers filled with potatoes in Karma dish and some in Lamb also and drive back with food in stand of eating and you say your cook is not there so kindly do not tell your clients that try and is good food to your unhappy clients like they 3 different people lost their mind one day all together ... I don't know if I will ever waste the money again on this food that Lamb Vindalo color was red like some manchuri sauce and lamb was not chewable so hard and dry at the same time . Do not hire people who can't cook or are not familiar with this kitchen and collect money pretending that food is good . Restaurant is about being consistent with the food that is why people are coming back ...today I would give O for customer service , quality of the food and very bad explanation by the owner . Beware if the cook is not there food is not good ,...
Β Β Β Read moreIs it better to have no curry or bad curry? That's the question I left with. I think the disappointment of bad curry is too much for me and I would have rather not had any at all.
The decor is fine, fairly typical Indian restaurant, and I had high hopes, but when i saw the buffet I was disappointed immediately. There were not a lot of options, but they did include some standard items like samosa, pakora, butter chicken, saag paneer, etc. I tried most of them and enjoyed none of them. The samosa was okay, but very salty with very mild flavors. The pakora was mostly batter. The saag paneer was fine I suppose, but again so bland that there isn't much to say about it. The spiciest dish was the butter chicken, which is a good indicator of how bland the rest was.
The naan brought to the table was so steeped in butter and garlic it was almost soggy. I was very disappointed at the lack of gulab jamun. The best part of the meal, and the only one I really liked, was the rice pudding.
I was also s but horrified to walk past the fridge in the hallway to the bathroom. It had various curries stored in open plastic buckets that had the appearance of having been there some time. Clearly the buffet curries are not served fresh, and if they're coming out of these buckets I would have my doubts about the food safety standards.
I will...
